Elston Turner had 38 points for the Aggies.
Quick thoughts and reactions from A&M's four overtime loss to Tennessee.
can anyone be genuinely excited about the future of our men's basketball team when the only guy who puts up numbers is a senior? the rest of the bunch seem lost, lack of focus, direction, chemistry, and a propensity to aim low so they hit their mark. a bleak and dark future forebodes for this bunch led by a listing ship with no anchor or sails. dark waters and thick fog engulf.
P.S. the two players you mentioned other than the senior scoring machine do not a team make.
I think this was about as good a loss as we've had all year, if that makes sense. Let's face it, our posts are not good, so when you go up against a good one like stokes, that really hurts your chances. Throw in the fact that Tennessee is playing with a lot of momentum, and they had some clutch threes, and you have to say Tennessee was a pretty good team today, and we took them down to the wire. I think Reese had one of his better games all year, so that's something to be positive about. Players didn't give up, and Kennedy did a decent coaching job, although I would agree with Aubrey in that I think green should've given elston a break in one of the overtimes, he'd have been the only guy out there with fresh legs
We have potential to have a good roster next year, but either Kennedy needs to show something different in this last month or we need to find another coach. I think we should hire Pearl or Larry Eustachy (CSU).
The team got Shermanized. Too inconsistent and lose much more of the close ones than you win.
Obvious need to replace coach is obvious.
