A&M was highly ranked in the other sports this season, but receiving eight of nine 1st place votes? When was the last time a major A&M sport could claim that?

There are several new guys filling key roles for A&M this year, however the core of the team is returning with Omaha experience.

Not saying they will necessarily make it back to Omaha, just saying this is a little different.

This will determine the outcome of the season. For the past couple of years A&M has lost their big arms down the stretch (Raley, Loux, Stilson). Many people have said this has to do with the large amount of innings Childress lets them go. It will certainly be interesting to see how the innings are handled this year.

A healthy Wacha and Stripling put A&M in excellent position to host a Super and get back to Omaha for the 2nd consecutive year. If one of those guys goes down, the season could get interesting.

Didn't we lose a stud starter or reliever to academic ineligiblity or something?

I hear that Childress said this is the most talented team he's had.

I certainly hope this isn't just another Big 12 ploy like we got both in Football and Basketball. Sounds like another sucker punch.
