Big performances all across Texas

On Thursday night a pair of Texas A&M commits squared off when Fort Bend Travis fell to Katy Seven Lakes 31-14. With defensive end Jarrett Johnson chasing him all night, Nick Harvey was 3-8 passing for 46 yards. He also caught five passes for 64 yards and a touchdown on offense and recorded two pass breakups and a forced fumble on defense. Seven Lakes sophomore Bryan Moore rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries and caught two passes for 49 yards and a score.

Nick Harvey caught a touchdown pass on Thursday night.

Spring Westfield beat Klein Collins 38-31. Playing quarterback, Northwestern safety commit Jordan Thomas was 11-13 passing for 93 yards in the loss. He also ran for 93 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. Westfield three-star cornerback Brian Peavy returned a fumble 60 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Fort Bend Bush shut out Aldine Eisenhower 37-0 on Thursday. For Bush, Texas State quarterback commit Ronald Monroe was 19-24 passing for 302 yards and three touchdowns. Twin brother Donald Monroe had seven receptions for 166 yards and two touchdowns.

Clear Lake beat Baytown Sterling 27-17 on Thursday and Texas A&M junior tight end commit Jordan Davis had eight catches for 78 yards.

Houston Kinkaid defeated Houston Christian 42-20 and junior quarterback JT Granato was 21-31 passing in the win for 268 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Florida State four-star tight end commit Mavin Saunders had five catches for 25 yards and a touchdown while junior Samuel Mays had five receptions for 67 yards and a score. Senior Jacob Mathews again led the team in receiving with six catches for 120 yards and three touchdowns.

Humble Summer Creek beat Port Neches-Groves 38-17 on Thursday. Kansas State quarterback commit Aaron Sharp was 17-24 passing for 283 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Dallas St. Mark’s beat Irvin Cistercian 31-14 on Thursday evening. Sleeper wide receiver John Caldwell had a huge game, finishing with 15 receptions for 313 yards and four touchdowns.

Also in the private school ranks on Thursday, Fort Worth All Saints defeated Dallas Greenhill 56-14. TCU quarterback commit Foster Sawyer was 13-17 passing for 273 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for an eight-yard score. Louisville fullback commit Daniel Gresham had three carries for 29 yards.

Plano West beat South Garland 35-17. Junior composite five-star Soso Jamabo ran for 140 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries while teammate and Northwestern running back commit Auston Anderson rushed for 110 yards and two scores on 16 carries.

Junior running back Tyreik Gray ran for 348 yards and five touchdowns.

In the San Antonio area on Thursday night, Cibolo Steele defeated Kerrville Tivy 49-7. Steele running back and Texas Tech commit Justin Stockton ran for 73 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.

On Friday night in Houston, North Shore beat Cinco Ranch 27-16. Junior running back Tristian Houston ran for 115 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries while sophomore athlete Maciah Long was 2-2 passing for 20 yards and ran for 53 yards and a score on 11 carries in the win.

Cy Ridge started district play with a 35-10 win over Cy Lakes. Cy Ridge senior wide receiver Darious Crawley caught five passes for 99 yards and a touchdown while four-star junior teammate Kemah Siverand had two receptions for 37 yards.

Richmond George Ranch shut out Goose Creek Memorial 43-0 with junior athlete Timon Nolan finishing 5-11 passing for 81 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He ran for 68 yards and two scores on nine carries. Fellow junior Xavian Marks caught two passes for 51 yards and a touchdown and ran for 12 yards on four carries.

Texas City easily defeated Pasadena 49-7 with Texas running back commit D’Onta Foreman rushing for 89 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. Twin brother and fellow Texas commit Armanti Foreman caught three passes for 27 yards and a touchdown and returned a punt 44 yards for a score.

Manvel won at Galveston Ball 46-7. Sophomore quarterback/athlete D’Eriq King was 8-12 passing for 194 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions while rushing for 47 yards on two carries. Texas sophomore wide receiver commit Reggie Hemphill caught two passes for 90 yards and two scores.

Kingwood Park shut out Humble 35-0 and Baylor tight end commit Jordan Feuerbacher recorded three catches for 26 yards. Junior quarterback Jaylon Henderson was 7-8 passing for 94 yards and a touchdown and ran for 30 yards on 16 carries.

Houston Episcopal beat Fort Worth Trinity Valley 47-17 in a game that saw four-star junior running back Tyreik Gray run for an incredible 348 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Jerrod Heard accounted for four touchdowns.

San Antonio Madison easily defeated New Braunfels 41-13. Quarterback Cody Ennis was 14-28 passing for 228 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 25 yards and two more scores on five carries. Texas Tech wide receiver commit Byron Daniels tallied five receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns.

Dallas Bishop Lynch shut out Wichita Falls 24-0. Junior Ole Miss running back commit Rawleigh Williams III ran for 123 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries and caught two passes for nine yards in he win.

Lake Dallas defeated Carrollton Newman Smith 38-20 with sophomore quarterback Dagan Haehn throwing for 308 yards and five touchdowns on 15-20 passing. He also ran for 55 yards on eight carries. Iowa defensive back commit Josh Jackson caught six passes for 133 yards and three touchdowns on offense.

Denton Guyer beat Flower Mound Marcus 35-17. Texas quarterback commit Jerrod Heard was 11-17 passing for 208 yards and a touchdown while running for 141 yards and three scores on 15 carries. Marcus sophomore tight end Kaden Smith caught five passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Allen defeated Richardson 52-7. Junior four-star quarterback Kyler Murray was 13-19 passing for 188 yards and four touchdowns while running for two yards and a touchdown on three carries.

Dallas Skyline took down Arlington Bowie 52-28. Skyline junior wide receiver Carlos Strickland caught seven passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Bowie junior athlete receiver Tony James was 12-15 passing for 111 yards and three touchdowns while running for 36 yards on 13 carries in the loss. Bowie four-star linebacker Edwin Freeman returned a fumble 62 yards for a touchdown as well.

Keller Timber Creek defeated Carrollton Creekview 27-24 but Creekview quarterback and Purdue commit David Blough threw for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 15-25 passing. He also ran for 52 yards and a score on 10 carries.

Corsicana defeated Forney 36-17 with sophomore Tray Owens running wild to the tune of 352 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries. He also caught a 27-yard pass.

KD Cannon caught nine passes for an incredible 271 yards and five scores.

Mesquite Horn beat Duncanville 45-33. Rice quarterback commit Destri White was 18-32 passing for 264 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the win. Junior wide receiver Jarrison Stewart was held to two catches for 23 yards.

Hebron beat Fossil Ridge 30-23 with composite five-star safety Jamal Adams returning a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in the win. He also ran for 37 yards and a score on six carries. Three-star running back Treyvon Hughes rushed for 168 yards and a score on 30 carries while also catching two passes for 15 yards.

In Mount Pleasant’s 77-34 win over Terrell, Baylor four-star wide receiver commit KD Cannon caught nine passes for 271 yards and five touchdowns.

Ennis blew out North Forney 55-3 with Baylor running back commit Terence Williams running for 106 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries while also catching two passes for 19 yards. Texas Tech safety commit Jah’Shawn Johnson had a 27-yard carry and threw a 25-yard touchdown pass. In the loss, Texas A&M safety commit Armani Watts had one catch for 20 yards and one carry that lost three yards.

In Argyle’s 53-7 win over Paris, Texas Tech wide receiver commit Ian Sadler caught four passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns while running for 28 yards and another three scores on six carries.

Plano Prestonwood defeated Royse City 45-27 and sophomore wide receiver Michael Irvin Jr. recorded six receptions for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Princeton shut out Commerce 42-0. Playing quarterback, Baylor athlete commit Jourdan Blake was 4-10 passing for 67 yards, two touchdowns and an interception while running for 36 yards and a score on 10 carries. Texas Tech wide receiver commit Jakari Dillard finished with one catch for six yards and carried the ball two times for 36 yards.

Coppell blew out Rockwall 68-20 with senior running back Charles West running for 306 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries. In the loss, four-star running back Chris Warren rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries while catching two passes that went for a loss of four yards.

Garrett Gray had 14 receptions, including five for touchdowns.

In Sachse’s 59-14 win over Grapevine, quarterback Kent Myers was 18-25 passing for 286 yards and four touchdowns while also running for 122 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.

South Oak Cliff shut out Dallas Roosevelt 54-0. Junior four-star running back Jordan Stevenson ran for 109 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries and caught a 16-yard pass. North Texas commit Fonzale Davis caught six passes for 98 yards and a touchdown and ran for 45 yards and a score on three carries.

Southlake Carroll had an easy time with Temple 38-7. Junior quarterback Ryan Agnew was 17-31 passing for 241 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 144 yards and two scores on 18 carries. Baylor junior four-star commit Chad President recorded one carry for nine yards before tearing his ACL.

Waxahachie defeated West Mesquite 29-27. Four-star junior quarterback Chason Virgil did not play in the loss. West Mesquite junior wide receiver Akilian Butler caught two passes for 22 yards and ran for 29 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.

Pflugerville Hendrickson took out Leander Vandegrift 49-14. Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Colorado defensive back commit Chance Waz returned an interception 17 yards for a touchdown in the win.

Galena Park defeated Huffman-Hargrave 35-21. Texas State athlete commit Anthoula Kelly was 5-11 passing for 60 yards and a touchdown while running for 196 yards and three touchdowns. In the loss, junior wide receiver Chase Harrell caught two passes for 33 yards and ran for 21 yards on two carries.

Crosby continued to roll with a 63-26 win over Barbers Hill. Rice commit Aston Walter was 21-29 passing for 320 yards and five touchdowns. Twin brother and fellow Owl commit Austin Walter ran for 169 yards and two scores on 22 carries. Utah wide receiver commit Raelon Singleton also had a big game with seven catches for 176 yards and four touchdowns.

Klein Oak lost to Kingwood 27-21 but Nebraska running back commit Larenzo Stewart ran for 199 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries and caught three passes for 28 yards.

Alief Taylor beat Hightower 13-6 in a defensive battle. Oklahoma State wide receiver commit Keenen Brown caught four passes for 54 yards and a touchdown. In the loss, Houston commit Roosevelt Appleton ran for 122 yards on 21 carries.

Port Arthur Memorial defeated Houston Westside 49-20. Sophomore running back Kameron Martin ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries while junior teammate Corey Dauphine rushed for 75 yards and three scores on 11 carries. In the loss, three-star wide receiver Bobby Hartzog caught eight passes for 129 yards and a score.

Sealy fell to Cleveland 47-34 but sophomore athlete Christian Wallace ran for 75 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. He also returned a kickoff 76 yards for a touchdown.

Austin Lake Travis defeated Round Rock Westwood 53-16. Texas A&M running back commit Varshaun Nixon ran for 129 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries and caught a 40-yard pass. In the loss, Houston quarterback commit Bear Fenimore was 25-40 passing for 262 yards.

In Round Rock Stony Point’s 42-38 loss to Killeen Shoemaker, junior wide receiver Justin Gamble caught six passes for 72 yards and a touchdown and ran for 29 yards on three carries.

Marble Falls defeated Burnet 56-51 in a shootout. Texas wide receiver commit Garrett Gray had 14 receptions for 202 yards and five touchdowns.

In Celina’s 54-30 win over Argyle Liberty Christian, junior quarterback Nathan Elliott was 10-23 passing for 220 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran for 25 yards and a score on 13 carries.

Dallas Bishop Dunne beat Dallas Lincoln 42-41. Four-star cornerback Nick Watkins caught five passes for 48 yards and a touchdown for Bishop Dunne. In the loss, Texas wide receiver commit Emanuel Porter caught two passes for 25 yards and a touchdown.

In West Orange-Stark’s 31-7 win over Beaumont Central, sophomore athlete Dillon Sterling-Cole was 7-13 passing for 73 yards and a touchdown while also running for 40 yards and a score on 10 carries. In the loss, Central sophomore Devwah Whaley ran 101 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.

Nacogdoches upset Lufkin 28-24. In the loss, Texas A&M wide receiver commit Jamal Jeffery caught a 14-yard touchdown pass while Texas junior wide receiver commit Keke Coutee had a one-yard touchdown reception.

Carthage defeated Tyler Chapel Hill 52-22. UTSA commit Blake Bogenschutz was 16-29 passing for 364 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Three-star wide receiver Tee Goreecaught seven passes for 168 yards and three scores while fellow wide receiver Okeeron Rutherford had four catches for 54 yards. In the loss, Texas Tech safety commit Joseph Clark ran for 71 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Splendora got its first win by beating Huntington 39-18. Texas A&M junior running back commit Jay Bradford ran for 223 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries.
