Aggies land Louisiana CB

Texas A&M headed into Sunday's junior day with seven commitments and sitting at No. 2 in the team rankings.

As of 4:30 p.m., the number of commitments has increased by one and the Aggies have taken over the top spot again in the team rankings.

New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton cornerback Deshawn Capers-Smith made the drive to College Station with several teammates and did not wait long to commit after meeting with head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Capers-Smith also plays quarterback for Warren Easton but the Aggies like him on the defensive side of the ball. They have also offered two of his teammates - wide receiver Tyron Johnson and linebacker Arthur McGinnis. McGinnis is in College Station with Capers-Smith today.
