Top247 wide receiver Thomas Johnson has made his college decision, and he'll be playing in College Station next year with the Texas A&M Aggies.

Johnson signed with A&M moments ago according to the Dallas Morning News on the scene, and is the nation's fifth ranked wide receiver. Johnson is also the 44th ranked overall prospect in the nation, and the sixth ranked players in the state of Texas.

Now that this is official, it really makes me think we backed off Monroe because of Harris, so he left cuz no love and too much competition. Then, we started showing TJ the love and it was reciprocated, and after what MD and TJ did at Gridiron, Bralon didn't want to be the second option. Blake never wanted to be here and Wilson decided OSU he would see the field sooner I suppose. That makes Thompson the only WTF decommit in my opinion (I mean you love Nike THAT much???), and by far the biggest loss, unless Pope gains 15 lbs and becomes a really good safety (or by miracle Momon makes it in and can learn to pass cover).
Just my thoughts on the decommittments we have freaked out about

Don't sell Trey short on future impact. We might even have some Von sleepers in there on defense too. We lost CT and BA, but since a month ago we stole Harris and Pope and picked up Johnson on the rebound. And let's not forget about MD and his impact on putting together this class, particularly Johnson. I'm more than happy coming off a 7-6 meltdown and adding all new coaches except for one. Not too shabby if you ask me.
