The Weekly 2-4-7

Going to start trying this out on Mondays to sort of organize things going into the week.

We still need a pass rushing DE to complete this class. Do you think we will get one of Smith, Hall or Prevot? Anyone else out there that fits the Bill?

RSJ is going to be really effective playing out of the slot. He too big for DBs and too quick and fast for LBs. He can get separation at WR because he cuts like a little 5-10 guy. All he needs is a step.

*I'm thinking our next recruiting class will be our best ever.

*KK isn't going anywhere. He knows the next coach at TT will fail. A&M is where it's at. Another Heisman for Johnny is another on Klingsbury's resume as well. He can return to TT later in life when he has mega-clout.

*Bob Stoops will be working extra hard to avoid the usual A&M start.

*The college football season could be extended a little to avoid the layoff. Maybe after seeing the flaws from next year's playoff.... Maybe not.

*Those jr decisions will be major news. If all 3 stay, we'll be ranked in the top3.

*I'm not hearing much from longhorn people. They're in hiding. In one season, A&M has risen to the top in dramatic fashion while the LHN has driven longhorn news and media underground -- for sale only. Didn't some sports writer promote David Ash for Heisman earlier in the season? Who? Who's picture will be on the front of every Texas football magazine next summer?

* I think we'll see our men's basketball team make a noticeable jump to a higher level of energy and quality of play -- due soley to the Heisman effect.

I've just seen him play a few times and think he lacks true top end speed. I'm sure he's faster than everyone on the field most the time at Sealy, but he won't be at A&M. Like I said, I think he could be a good WR, but not necessarily an elite one. Just my opinion though and obviously nobody pays for my scouting ability.
