We're going to be using this as the coaching "hot board" so we'll be adding names to it as we hear things. For now I'd say Beaty is probably the odds-on favorite.

Anyone watch the announcement video? I have to disagree with Clay Travis now, just because it's Kliff Kingsbury doesn't mean it's not gay.
Congrats to Kliff, he helped us out a lot in this transition, my advice to him: watch out for tortillas. It's all fun until someone loses an eye.

If it's Beaty he can still coach WRs. We would need a QB coach. I wonder if Whitfield or Murray want a coaching job.... J/k. What kind of QB coaching candidates are out there?

Riley Dodge is a better candidate for QB coach than WR coach IMO. He was once the best QB in TX at Southlake Carroll.

Yeah but does he have enough experience to promote him? QB is the most important position on the field for this type of offense. It's an extremely important hire.

it's as easy as promoting Beaty to OC running Sumlin's system, and bring in the best QB coach/recruiter there is.

Good point, but two things- KK had much more experience when he was hired than RD has now and also, having the Heisman QB for another three years, I would think and hope we could get any QB coach we wanted right now.... No better gig for a QB coach, IMO. Why hire a GA?

Sumlin gets to continue proving he is an elite HC, lose ur protege OC and maybe a coach or two, dont miss a beat(y) and maybe even improve the staff in between landing studs

If I'm Sumlin I don't let KK poach any assistants. He is now the competition and Sumlin hired a fantastic staff. You don't let the competition poach your staff. If TT/KK wants Yates or Beaty they better be willing to pay up.
