Posted this a few weeks ago but a lot has changed even since the last time I updated the list and there becomes less speculation by the day.
I love the way the coaches are handling everything. Even with 32 commits they are prepared for anything happening at the last minute. Don't have any names but Hamm has said the coaches have some people in mind to call up should something happen at the last minute. I honestly think/hope this recruiting season wraps up uneventfully with the addition of Hall and Prevot to close it out. As I tried to number below, we have 24 Feb commits right now. If we were to finish with only Hall, we could potentially reach out to a new person or it would give us 25 LOI's to receive including the 2 QB's and 2 Rosenberg grade risks. It would also give us room to go ahead and give any mystery greyshirt options a scholarship and if any of the 4 don't make it will free up room towards the 85 limit to hopefully be able to take a larger class in 2014.
We know Kohl has a greyshirt offer but is likely to sign, and personally think GusGus is a likely candidate with his injury and give him time to maybe get everything healed up and come in next January. I will go ahead and say it but I hope Hill gets locked up this weekend but I can also see him flipping last minute when schools reach out in desperation and he falls for lofty promises. I am starting to think Kohl will be an Aggie, and maybe his openness of wanting to go to college will make him fall in the MLB draft enough for him to pass it up, or maybe he will have a stellar spring ball and solidify his top 10 draft pick and then who knows.
What do you guys think? Seems to me we have the two WDE's we really want, and have options should they decide otherwise, and a few options to fit that last person in and still follow the rules.
Also, if Hall and Prevot commit, will that have an impact on guys like Garrett or Thomas or other DE studs in the 2014 class? We have no pass rushers now, but if we add 2 at the last minute, that's 2 more bodies to compete against, but could also weed out the sissies afraid of competition or the ones with a sense of entitlement.
