We are Oregon. Go find the closest JFF clone in the country. Hawaii, Florida, Illinois...wherever. Geography doesn't matter. We go after the BEST fit for our offense. Just like Oregon did in going after Marriota (Hawaii) and JFF (Texas).
Punahou actually has a pretty good junior QB. He's a rare football/elite volleyball dual sport athlete.
I haven't seen any tape of anyone that's worthy (my opinion).
If you like a kid, link his tape..
I agree we should go national..
We have a good stable so I'd see if Kyler will commit then take no one in '14.
I like this kid from Florida, DJ Gillins. He's a Tech commit now so at least we know he doesn't have a problem coming to Texas. For a guy that runs well, he has good footwork and nice mechanics.

Ronald Monroe from Fort Bend. Has some wheels. Like the play where he gets out and throws a block for his back. Needs some work on mechanics.

Ben Arbuckle from Canadian HS. Only video I've seen is on rivals and his hudl video won't come up on my ipad.
Jordan Severt from Westlake is big. Has a big arm. Has the look.
I would pass on QB in 2014. We're stocked and Kyler in 2015 is a natural match for us. Spots are scarce for 2014--we may take 1/2 the number as 2013.
The true test of a man's intelligence is how much he agrees with you.
I know it's smart to always take a good one every year, but with '14 being small, we need to stock up on studs at areas of need.
IF we skip QB for '14, when Kylar would theoretically gets to campus, we'll have:
RS Sr - Johnny
RS Jr - Davis
RS So - Hill
RS So - Stewart
Fr - Kylar
Even if you subtract Stewart, that's still 4.
As some have said...you pass at QB in '14.
Kyler is the future and you start building around him now. And youre Probably asking for his verbal around March.
