247s rankings officially suck

after being ranked a 4 star prospect for 6 months based on his performance this past season and at camps earlier this spring, Rashaad Samples has been dropped in the rankings to a borderline TX top 100 prospect despite being injured and not doing anything for a couple of months.
Please someone tell me what new info has come out since he's been recovering this summer that wasn't available previously that caused him to be reevaluated and reranked?

He's the 23rd best WR prospect in Texas now if you count guys ranked as athletes who are being recruited as WRs like Quiv, Robbie R. etc.

Its really pathetic that two of the three major recruiting networks are run by sips. As great as the info is, its always subject to some douche bag with an agenda.

If Samples and Walker commit to us next week we'll have 11, 12, and 13 four star commits on Rivals, ESPN and Scout. We'll still have 6 on 247.

Unless espn changed there ranking technique, this far and above one of the best ever aggie classes according to their rankings, even without griffin and Gibson

It's funny, when a certain someone used to be at rivals. Thier rankings used to be that way. It adds a lot of credibility to the ESPN guys saying they pander to the masses on these sites

talent evaluators.

That's the problem with recruiting sites, people entrust a network of people who don't know dick about evaluating football players to somehow give them accurate info. These sites are a business and need to make money to survive, so they pander to the masses for revenue.
Why do you think people are re-ranked in mid summer when no one is in pads and half the major recruits are lounging at the pool? For those of us who were with Rivals before, this dog and pony show is nothing new.

Stick to 247 for recruiting updates, but when talking about recruiting rankings with opponents fan bases, avoid 247 at all costs. IMO we should have at minimum four more four star guys, but really more like five.

When the sips have decommits from highly ranked players they drop in the total rankings behind the Ags...that is a scenario that can not exist.
Perception is everything, whether it's reality or not.
Caleb B punked a sip recruit for the entire world to see, but he won't jump that sip in the rankings even with his huge offer list
