I don't even want to get in it too deep, but ok, are you ranking on performance or skill set and potential? Probably both with potential and skill set being the most highly valued attributes. This is why Stewart's rocket arm is ranked high and why swoopes physical appearance overhadows his performance.

What doesn't make sense are people samples. Season stats of 1369 yards and 19 touchdowns names 2nd team all state as a junior. Named to a select invited camp and he has great fundamentals from his dad coaching him his whole life and not to mention was the unanimous best receiver at the nike camp before injury. Then there's kyrion Parker, I'll give you a higher ceiling because of his physical stature and tools but caught one pass before injury but has exploded in camps and could have a huge year. To me this is a perfect scenario where samples should be ranked higher, he shouldn't have been dropped that drastically because of a fluke injury at a camp he was dominating, but Parker should likely pass him if he has a breakout year. Kyrion rated fairly, samples rating ridiculous. I could probably go on with Other comparisons but I'm on mobile and it's difficult to research on a phone. Happy evaluating.

If any service should be the best it's 247. Get in an evaluator from another region to look at video, read some articles, look at stats, potential, grades, whatever and make an unbiased rating. Conflict of interest is a recipe for disaster in any professional setting, especially dealing with passionate sometimes irrational football fans.

You would think 247 has good talent evaluators but it's a complete fabricated myth. Bias...

Yeah, 247 ratings have been an extreme disappointment this year for sure. There is just no justification for many of the rankings. IMO the #1 criteria for any recruit should be offers by major BCS schools. If you go by that measure A&M's commits are badly underrated. It really does not pass the smell test and also makes me believe Bobby and the boys are trying to run cover for Mack before things get really bad next year when I expect Sumlin to kick Mack's ass on the recruiting. That should be fun to watch.

There is something larger at play here. Most sip fans, big donors, don't watch tape like most of us do here. They look at things like stars and numbers. Gerry and Jeff probably want to rank Tyrone Swoopes where he should be (40-50 in the state), but they simply cannot. The backlash would be huge. What would happen if sip fans looked at the rankings and saw TWO A&M QB's ranked ahead of the "Next Vince Young" (Where they should be). There would be chaos.

When hookem mods are posting things like "Jerrod Heard looked to be the best of the two" you know something stinks. Burton is just taking his marching orders from Bellmont or his access will be cut off. (Goes for ketch too)
