Washington @ LSU got the night ESPN game. UGA @ Missouri is on ESPN2.

  • So we have a Thursday night game away from home on ESPNU, a 2:30 game at Kyle for our SEC debut on ESPN, and a 2:30 kick off in Dallas on FSN.

On paper, that looks pretty bad.

  • So Mizzou gets all the night games while we get all the afternoon games in the heat. Who exactly is the more prestigious program again? Sucks.

    HiddenAg2

  • Does it really? Our first three games are all national broadcasts if Im not mistaken, two of which are non-conference games. We will get a lot of exposure this year.

  • For the recruits that will be attending the Florida game, a night game would be best.

  • These people really don't have our best interest in mind. 24 hour drinking binges while standing in 100 degrees all day really is going to kill me eventually.

Exactly! In most previous years in the Big12, we wouldn't even have been on tv at all, and if we were, it would be on some obscure local channel such as Versus or whatever.

why would they put the premier program of the SEC on an away game at night? Especially one that's coming off a first-year coach who struggled.

We have to earn our stripes, I think.

I'd say Mizzou has had more recent success than we do, in all honesty.

even against us, head-to-head, they've beaten us fair and square.

  • The 6:45 ESPN2 game isnt the premiere time slot. Our game or the LSU game were probably the first pick of ESPN. We probably would have been on CBS if it werent for the US Open. Night game is better for us as fans going to the game, but a nationally televised game on ESPN at 230 in the afternoon on the second weekend of college football season isnt exactly a bad deal for us in terms of exposure.

  • nope. its great. would you rather be playing iowa state and listening to it on Dave and Dave because its not televised in the B12? didnt think so. some of you need to check yourself.

  • Really looking forward to this game.. And im really glad its during the day, I think yall would have had a special atmosphere at night for the UF game had it kicked off at say 8 pm. Not saying it wont be a great atmosphere during the day, but it wont be anything our guys havent seen, crowd wise. Should be a great game, and I wish yall luck this yr, just not this game lol.. Welcome to the SEC fellas

I don't care of its 6am, just as long as we give them hell 4 quarters and pull away victorious
