sorry guys, i'm sure this upsets some of yall but its the reality. just my two cents.

I dont think we should look to Bama and LSU when building our team. Need to use Arkansas and Auburn ('10) template.

This is the perfect way to look at it.

For all those telling us that we need the game-changers... well there should be just as many people telling them that you cannot get game-changers until you start winning. Coaching, schemes, and effort will take you to the next level. Guess what... Maestro has the effort (in his tape at least).

Arkansas' rise to the top with Petrino is what I am looking for under Sumlin. I am not looking for him to create the LSU or Alabama of Texas in year one, year two, etc. I am looking for consistent wins and competition throughout. Arkansas gives LSU a run for their money every year.

Now that Petrino has his team in the top ten a couple years in a row he might start being able to pull in some Alabama/LSU type kids that bring a MNC home to Fayetteville (God that sounds awful).

That model can be repeated and should be to a degree. Sumlin has the tools and the fire power - now go get it!

No, the bottom line is what should get us the game-changers if we want to be competitive in the SEC.

There are only a handful of coaches in college football that could come in and do that without showing they can win first.

We didn't hire one of those because we weren't willing to spend that kind of money.

Unless Sumlin can win without those type of players initially, you are in for a long 3-4 years.
