Well, that was short lived.
I really respected Sumlin making that happen. I've always thought it was a strategic idea that would pay dividends.
Unfortunately the SEC forbids this practice. Schools aren't allowed to host camps or clinics off campus as it would give certain schools a competitive advantage. I say it actually puts us at a competitive disadvantage in the SEC if we can't going forward. Texas is a VERY BIG state!!

How long have we been doing satellite camps? I had no idea it was a tradition...of course i just started really paying attention to recruiting about 6 months ago, so i'm still figuring things out.

I told you guys this was going to happen in one of the post camp writeups. Personally I think it's a mistake by the SEC.
Correction, SEC not NCAA.

A&M needs to do what OU did and team up with a smaller university/organization and coach the event. They can't promote the camp but it's easy to spread the word. What OU was able to pull off at Dulles was impressive.

What? The SEC puts its rules in place and basically writes a manual how to get around them. Appearances for the sake of appearances.
