There have been some really silly looking at bats on both sides. Both pitchers are throwing very good games.

This game shouldn't be close though. A&M let holy cross stay in the game when they didn't capitalize on two outstanding opportunities.

I don't care who you're playing, I don't get get bothered by a difficult night against a Friday pitcher. It's the other day's that bother me.

That's going to close the book on Michael Wacha is going to leave his second game of the season and still not have an ERA.

An absolutely impressive performance by Wacha. He scattered two hits over 7 innings, allowing just one runner to reach third and only allowing runners into scoring position twice I believe. Wacha had 11 Ks, threw 66 strikes in 92 pitches, and didn't walk a batter.

I see your point, Sin, but I disagree. A top 5 D1 should be clearly better than a non-tourney team like Holy Cross. If Wacha has an off night, or a HC hitter gets lucky & runs into one, or a guy out of our pen has a bad outing... You're looking at a 3-2 loss. At home, to Holy Cross. Unacceptable. Hit the ball.

It's baseball. A better team doesn't mean you blow em out every time.
