midnight rider, every site is moderated differently, and what you said is definitely a bannable offense according to the terms of service.

You can't expect every site to offer as much leniency as GigEm allows.

I should add: personally, I never post on any boards outside A&M ones. One false move is like kicking a hornet's nest, and I don't get any pleasure out of internet fights.

Heh. I was on the hookem site and got tired of one poster saying how he can't wait to play A&M again and beat the crap out of us.

All you gotta do is start a thread on here about Hookem and you will get banned. If their team were any good they would probably be more open to it but, they are a bunch of bitches.

Plenty of people have been banned, I think I personally banned about half of the members of the Michigan State site, but at the same time we've gotten a lot of feedback that posters like talking trash for a while before threads get shut down, so as long as the language isn't horrible, we usually let it go for a while.

However, if people disagree with that just let me know.

I think it's fine to talk some trash just hard to tell where the line is I guess. Guess those coonasses are a little more sensitive!

I have no control over banning anyone; and if I did had that authority, I do not think I would I ban someone for a comment like the one above... but you can certainly argue that comment did cross the line, and I think 99% of the mods out there would ban someone for a comment like this. For one, people dont curse a lot on our board; so this comment would have been deleted even if it was posted by an LSU fan. I think trash talking is all in good fun, but you also need to respect the board you are posting on and not throw out vulgar curse words in your posts when you visit another board. Again, I dont think I would have banned you for this comment if I had that control... but my opinion doesnt mean a whole lot anyway

And for the record midnight rider, the article that was posted "Is the Bermuda Triangle of A&M Football Collapsing Upon Itself" was actually written by an A&M site on SBnation.com... so no need to be mad at LSU fans about it.

Also, BTJ makes a lot of people mad, both LSU and non-LSU fans. There's been times when I wish we would ban him from our board lol! But he means no harm... he can just come off as an a**hole sometimes, but you gotta love him at the end of the day. I've seen other LSU posters post some stupid stuff on this board, and I hope ya'll are smart enough to realize that not all of us "corndogs" act like that

And sasquatch, dont ever say that Bama fans are nice... we have been dealing with them for decades, they are FAR from nice. They are the most arrogant/stuck up people on this planet, but now they actually have a reason to be cocky. I guarantee you will learn to despise the Bama team, fanbase, and everything it stands for in he next few years. I hate Bama alsmost as much as I love LSU, and I know some of you will feel the same way soon. They are the top dog in college football right now, and we need to focus on knocking them off their perch before we start bickering over petty differences between our fanbases.

I'm excited that there is yet another good team in the SEC West in A&M, and I look forward to some epic battles both on and off the field in the near future (I'm very happy ya'll stuck it to UT, I'm sure they are regretting it now that the SEC is alive & well in TX)... but for now, we all have 1 common enemy, and that is to dethrone Bama from their current reign! I cheered as if I was an Aggie when ya'll beat Bama last year, and I hope LSU and A&M can both beat the hell out of Bama this year!!
