    Pretty good list. I'd add:

Southern Star (Especially the Pine Belt Ale- on draft is amazing)

Sierra Nevada (Especially the Pale Ale- now available in cans which is awesome)

Anchor Steam (Get the original... then do research as to how the beer was named, the process used to make it, and how Fritz Maytag (heir to the Maytag fortune) stepped in and saved one of the Country's most unique breweries)

Brooklyn Brewery (Their Summer Ale is one of the best beers I've ever had, of course its seasonal, but when its available it can't be beat).

There are others of course. Its a great time to be a beer lover with the resurgence of micro brews. As you get older and start drinking because you like the taste rather than to get shitfaced, you'll discover more and more unique beers that make life more livable.

Of course, your tastes may differ from mine, as I have a penchant for IPAs and Pale Ales in general.

If you like IPAs try Lagunitas. They are similar to Dogfish Head with their unique brews, but they tend to stick to the hops.

Real Ale's Devil's Backbone is about to release year round which is one of my favorites.

  • Lagunitas is a good one. I typically just do a rotation of the aforementioned and a few others based on which one is on sale. Sierra Nevada is pretty cheap for how friggin' delicious it is a lot of the time.

  • I'm trying to taste every beer.

It's taking longer than I thought, but I'm powering through it.

  • You are truly noble, Travis. No one can challenge that.

  • Harpoon Leviathan Imperial IPA. Easily my favorite beer.

Harpoon is my favorite brewery right now.

If you're in Dallas you can get it at Central Market on Lovers.

  • I'm a big IPA fan as well. Lagunitas, Racer 5, Stone, Ranger, Dogfish all make very good & very hoppy brews. Sierra Torpedo pretty good as well. My favorite has to be Russian River Brewery (followed very closely by Lagunitas.) Blind Pig & Pliny the Elder are excellent.

    Russian River Brews

In 1997, Russian River Brewing Company (RRBC) was founded by Korbel Champagne Cellars in Guerneville, California. Vinnie Cilurzo was hired as the Brewmaster. At the Great American Beer Festival in 1999, RRBC and Vinnie were awarded In 2002, Korbel decided to leave the beer business and sold the brewery to Vinnie and his wife, Natalie. The brewery is now located in Santa Rosa, California

  • Pliny the Elder is pretty wild shit. For all of you Houstonians, check out The Hay Merchant on Westheimer. My friend and a few of his buddies opened it up and their beer selection is retarded. They have stuff on tap you CANNOT find anywhere else. He is a real connoisseur and last time I hung out with him he kept feeding me beers I'd never heard of... and the bar is filled with them. The food is really good as well.

    The Hay Merchant

The Hay Merchant, located on Houston’s historic Westheimer Street, offers a fine selection of craft food and beer.

  • Stone ruination, and Avery Maharaja are my two favorite IPAs right now. There is also a deep ellum IPA that you can only get in pony keg or draft that is excellent here in Dallas.

Russian River is well represented as is Lagunitas Brewery in NorCal. As for the spots, check out Monk's Kettle in the Mission. It as about everything on tap or bottles. Try Olde Sonoma for good brew selection while in Sonoma. If time permits, you should go to Lagunitas Beer Garden or Russian River Bar. It's close to the wine country is a good diversion from the grapes/wine.
