Gigem247, eh? Never seen this handle post before. I like it. Good feature.
Guess it shouldn't be surprising that Everett could be the most talented DB considering he got on the field before Raven last year.

I noticed Gutekunst at 2nd team LT in the practice video. However, the real depth chart at LT should read:
Joeckle
Matthews
Ogbuehi
it doesn't matter anymore if we've lost our top 3 OL

From the practice video I saw, Terrell looked great. He was more physical, more confident and flying around. Everett also really stood out in terms of size and athleticism, but he looked tentative. I also think the QB battle is between Showers and Davis with Manziel still a wild card and Joeckel lagging way behind. Brent Z posted some QB footage and Davis' arm strength and accuracy was better than expected while Manziel really struggled getting enough on the ball to make deep throws to the receiver in stride. If not for being slightly undersized, Showers would have this QB battle so locked up it wouldn't be debatable.

If Showers was 2 inches taller, we would all feel pretty good about our QB situation next year.

Don't necessarily disagree with that. But I haven't seen him play so I couldn't say for sure.

me neither, just seems to be what people are saying. I am feeling more and more confident that we will be able to be respectable at LB and even in the secondary with a little learning curve, but DL needs to shape up, but i love nealy and demontre so hey, we got half of it going in the right direction haha.

Nice write up, but one point. Lack of talent doesn't have a lot to do with busting coverages. That's a mental thing.

Great way to wrap up the week. This was the stuff we got daily during the Sherm era when he allowed more access. I was starting to think we weren't going to get this kind of coverage. Good thing you guys have people on the inside.

I like the way you mixed the good with the not so good....
Inexperienced DBs and prentenders on the DL...A formula for a train wreck and not a wrecking crew.

How is Mathis coming along?

We haven't seen any full on contact drills really but he's been practicing all along. Looks like he's doing well out there.
