Call Your Shot: Where Will Jerrod End Up?

  • With the UFL sputtering, and Jerrod (along with the rest of the Hartford roster) sent home for a hiatus, where do you think he ends up?

My random shot in the dark will be the Arizona Cardinals' camp.

  • I don't think he'll go to the Texans, why wouldn't they draft him in the 7th round as opposed to TJ Yates out of UNC?

I'd love to see him go to Pittsburgh. Right now they have Batch, Dixon and Leftwich behind Big Ben. With the combination of Rooney and Tomlin, I could see them giving another young black quarterback with high upside a shot to make it on the roster.

Not sure what him being black has to do with the situation...

Also yates wasn't drafted in the 7th it was like the 5th and people said that he was underrated and should have gone earlier which had he I'm sure the texans would have held out for jerrod...

My mistake about the 7th round... but still, could have taken a better defensive player in the 5th and taken Jerrod in the 7th if they wanted him.

As for the race issue... Dan Rooney is the chairman of the NFL's diversity committee, instigated the "Rooney Rule" for coaches, and is the only owner to have three black QB's on his roster. I don't think for a second race dictates the ability to play QB, but the numbers are plain and simple, roughly 4 out of 5 QB's are white.

  • It's time to end it...

He'll be a GA... He's a great cat. Not sure if he was injured or just lost it but he just wasn't the same qb after that off season

I do not know where he'll be but no matter he winds up Jerrod will be successful. As for the shoulder, A&M jumped the gun on the surgery & it seems to have cost JJ dearly. T Tebow needed shoulder surgery prior to his SR. year at fla. but they put the knife off until after the season. The path chosen by fla. was the wiser of the 2. TT did not work-out for the early nfl evals. thereby gaining a full enough recovery to maneuver his way to the league, while having a quality SR. season. GigEm!
