Having visited many other college towns since I left Aggieland, its really depressing how bad the food sucks in BCS. Its pathetic.

Overall the food leaves something to be desired but there are some quality places.
Grub Burger Bar is the shiz. It doesn't fit into this category because I think most everybody here knows it by now.

The students are actually the problem. It's hard for a small restaurant to do the type of marketing they would need to do to really break into the student market. Plus about 10,000 of those students live on campus so there's almost no way of reaching them.

Where is Pepe's now? Back in the early 80's, the Dominik location and their burritos were a drunk night staple.

I would include Crazy Cajuns, Tampico's in Bryan, and Koppe.
The other two are pretty visible but Tampico's is a hole in the wall place off Commerce street that you have to know it's there to find it but the Mexican food is excellent and cheap

There's a small bakery east of college station called The Green House Bakery. Great sandwiches and desserts. All home made stuff.
The tomato bar was great too my freshman year in 07-08. Also had a studio in the pavilion when the architecture school ran out of room, the king long burgers were pretty good. The azimuth had amazing paninis for about a year too.
