I'm with Aubs, if Texas wanted (minus LHN) to come to the SEC, they'd take them. OU as well (minus OSU).

Finally! Someone who gets it! Reading this thread is bringing me back to the days of Tarp banning me while he and ferrett spewed the most uninformed opinions as fact on how we would never go to the SEC.
Sips ain't getting in, folks. That ship has sailed. Rest, army.

I don't blame the sips for wanting to follow us. They are lost without us and need us more than ever. They realized we don't need them and it is killing their ego.

Maybe posting's just not your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest.
"I like Bears and if you're going to be a bear, UMMMMM, BE A Grizzley"
Having a single school network, threatening fellow conference mates to play on your network, promising to only air one game on said network and now pushing for four games, having schools adjust schedule so you can host thanksgiving game at home annually. Just the tip of the iceberg.
Does that sound like an honest broker and a school wanting to be an equal partner?
It's always good to be downvoted for being right. I'll just assume it was from Bobby himself, since no Aggie would be dumb enough to not understand the situation. And since I'm sure to get another downvote for daring to let the truth spill out to the public, I'll give y'all another nugget of knowledge...okie ain't ever getting in the SEC, either. So these conversations about cows and land thieves crashing our party is nothing but a fairy tale. Deal with it, Roberto.

You guys are retarded.
A&M, SCar, UGa, UF, and Ark would all block TX if A&M asked for UT admittance to be stopped.
That would be the precipice- is A&M against it?
If so there is a .000001% chance the University of Texas ever has an SEC brand on their jerseys. Period.
You're killing me, bra.
Texas A&M is as far west as the SEC will ever go. end of stroy
We might have closed the gap this year with Texas, but they still wield a lot of power. And still more than us.
And don't dismiss that the SEC doesn't look at the $ value of adding Texas. The significance of that impact will ultimately decide it.
No, it won't.
Wow. You sure make a compelling argument.
As a general rule, it's always good to keep an eye on your enemy, so they can't sneak up on you. But in this case, it's just wasted energy.
The SEC will remain cattle free as long as the leaders from A&M have an ounce of sanity and there's not a damn thing that sip can do about it. It's over. Now go out and get yourself a nice Georgia Peach, tonight.
You're assuming that this block of SEC schools with veto power has the same interests and motivations as they did 20 years ago, and I'm saying circumstances change and have changed. Its no longer just about in-state rivalries, protecting territories or even W/L's. Its about butts in the seats and eyeballs on the screen. For example new AD's for most schools are no longer the good old boy ex-jocks anymore, they're CFO types looking at balance sheets, contracts, marketing rights, income statements and revenue streams.
And its nice to think we can just dismiss Texas as being completely powerless. I'd like to believe that too, but I'd be wrong. But what you can't ignore is the sports entertainment industry as a whole, and if the money is there, and I believe it will be sooner or later, then one A&M vote is not going to hold up.
In the meantime I will enjoy the limelight while we have it and hope it continues to grow.
And BTW, I already have a nice peach, but thanks for the advise.
If you insist on worrying yourself to bed every night over the big bad bovines' prowess, then go right ahead. They moo a lot and can sometimes confuse people about reality with all of that bs.
But 20 years from now, I want you to remember this exact thread. And when you do, please remember how polite and nurturing I've been whilst showing you the light. Now beat it, you little rascal.
Even disregarding our own administration's opinion on the matter, the sips aren't about to play nice with others any time soon. especially considering they're locked into their shitty contract for like 13 more years.
