Aubrey you need to take it upon yourself to get Manziel the Heisman. You should compile every record he has broken, every award he has been given, every piece of his story, every intricacy that makes him the legend of Johnny Football. Get his stats, do comparisons between him and other QB's and Heisman trophy winners based on his total stats, stats against the best defenses, Bama, LSU, Florida, whoever else, see how much better he did against these teams than anyone else. How he had a bad game with three turnovers against LSU, but also put up good yards. Track his clutchness on third downs running the ball and passing the ball, especially at third and long. Compare him to current leaders for the award and that he is doing it in the SEC. I mean come on McCarron was a contender just because he played for Bama, his stats weren't gaudy, but he plays in the SEC, guess what, so does Johnny, and blows everyone away that has ever competed in this conference. Any other thing you should do is go back and see how much time Johnny missed in these games that were blowouts, Arky, SMU, South Carolina State, Auburn, Miss State. That is half the games where he only played a little more than half the game. It would be interesting to see you extrapolate his state for missed minutes, or even add Showers and Joeckel stats to make the games complete but now we are splitting hairs. Another thing to mention is his selflessness. Our running backs have been great this year, accounting for 11 touchdowns from inside the 5 yard line. Talk about his trip to see Whitfield after the spring game, anything and everything. Get the info out there, people are dying for Johnny news, who better than his loyal supporter from his home town?
He deserves this Bloom, don't take it away from him.
I love it.
I'm sure an article or two is going to find a way to the front page this week.

Some guy on ESPN Heisman Watch threw this out in the comments section. It's the defensive ranks of each team that A&M and K-State have played (just to put each player's stats in comparison):
Kansas St.--------------Texas A&M
Texas Tech - 18th------Alabama- 2nd
Oklahoma- 20th---------LSU- 3rd
TCU- 22nd----------------Florida- 5th
Oklahoma St- 56th-----SMU- 47th
North Texas- 71st-------Miss. St- 49th
Iowa State- 94th---------Ole Miss- 55th
Kansas- 103rd-----------Arkansas- 74th
West Virginia- 110th---Auburn- 90th
Miami U- 115th-----------Louisiana Tech- 119th
Think big bloom. National outlets. Plant the seed. He has transformed the team. Brought them into relevance, given us hope, given the players hope. I mean most is because of sumlin but you get the point.
Average defensive ranking is 67.667 for KSU and 49.3 for us.
Hey Aubrey, another request. Since we significantly reduce the quality of the defensive stats of teams that we play, you should factor in the strength of defenses that we have played without our offensive dominance of them. Maybe do this for K State and Klein as well.
Do it for Johnny Aubrey! Do it for Kerrville!
get them socs
...who the heck seriously knows except God, and Sumlin. ~ Aggiemom6
The great thing about those defensive rankings is that the 3 highest ranked defenses KSU has played will be falling in the rankings over the next 3 weeks. TT still plays Baylor and OSU who should put up a lot of yards. OU has WVU, OSU and TCU. TCU has OU and Texas. None of them may be top 30 defenses by the end of the season. Meanwhile KSU plays texas and Bu who have 2 of the worst defenses in the nation.
A&M has SHSU who doesn't count in D rankings and Mizzou who has a top 30 defense.
