No offense, but if you're in my house and act like an ass you're not coming back. Seems to be a pretty simple guideline for posting on other fan sites.
Does this mean anything as a RS Freshman?
...who the heck seriously knows except God, and Sumlin. ~ Aggiemom6
Does it mean you decided to immortalize LSU's crowning moment of 2012?
Well played my friend; well played! There is no doubt he is a phenomenal player and your team had a great year! I think you will Bama a hard time since their defense isn't really built on speed; unlike LSU's!
How many returning starters on Defense do y'all have this year?
Yawn. Sorry about this. At least yall are proving the "spread" doesn't work in the SEC. Gosh he has a good arm though
Geez I didnt realize how bad he really was.... Not one game over 300 yards and not one game with more than 2 TD's. Manziel had 213 more combined yards and 179 more passing yards against LSU in his worst game than Mett had against our defense.
You hadn't even remotely seen me act like an ass! That was just a little smack talk, ok the language may have been what PG 13. If your offended by that stay clear of me on any given Saturday in football season after an all day drunk!
We have 5. And yes Anthony Johnson will be back. Also we were like 3rd for teams who played the most freshman.
Ugh....can't wait till LSU joins the Big XII.
It honestly doesnt matter how many returning starters we have on Defense... we have an equally talented (or in some cases, an even more talented) backup waiting in the wings ready to play. For 10 years now, every time we've lost a player like Patrick Peterson, there's been a Morris Claiborne ready to step up. Every time we lost a Michael Brockers, there was a Benny Logan ready to step up... you get my drift?
A&M is definitely on the rise, and will be at LSU & Bama's level very soon if they continue their current route, but I'm not sure you understand that when you are an elite program, you simply replace studs with even more studs. I mean look at Bama, they had like 4 defenders taken in the first 2 rounds before last year, but still won the title this year.
Like I said, A&M is getting there; but not quite there yet. Both LSU and Bama are loaded 3-4 deep at almost every position with potential future stars. A&M will be in that same position very soon. Yes, our defense will surely regress some from the typical top 10 unit that we are used to putting out, but it will still be a very potent defense that can hang with any offense in the country (See vs Oregon in 2011, or vs A&M in 2012)... it's our offense that is, and always has been, or biggest concern. We dont need to have an offense like Oregon or A&M to win games, we simply need a slightly above average offense to compete. And we are hoping Cam Cameron can take us to that above average level, because we will need the offense to perfrom better if we expect to beat A&M, Bama, Florida etc.
Proud to support everything Louisiana
But those stats do not matter... all that matters are the Wins and Losses; and simply put, we do not need a 300 ypg passer to win games. LSU's team is built around a defense, special teams, and our running game... It's hard for a QB throw for 300 yards when you run the ball 50+ times a game. On the other hand, A&M is able to throw for 400+ yards vs LATECH because they needed to in order to win the game! When your defense gives up 40+ pts to LATECH, then you need a QB to throw for 500 yards and 4 TD's just to win... LSU can throw for under 100 yards, rush for over 250 yards, and still win the game by 14+ points (check our 2011 schedule). That's what happends when you have elite defense & special teams... you dont have to rely on the offense to carry the team, unlike A&M. This is not the Big12, you do not win by having high flying offenses... you win or lose a game at the line of scrimmage, and with a suffocating defense, and a near flawless special teams. It's a different type of football altogether.
No offense, but stats are meaningless in football as long as you win the game. And not many programs around the nation can say they have the same or higher winning % as LSU since Les MIles has gotten here.
ETA: If you want to see an example of stats being meaningless, then take a look at our game this past year... Manziel had 275+ yards passing and Mett had under 100, yet LSU led 24-12 with 2 minutues left to play before we gave up a meaningless TD. Proof right there that STATS DO NOT MATTER IN THE SEC

I was just curious how many you had.
We were a field goal kicker away from erasing much of all that elite talk stuff. Ole miss and A&M are creeping up on Les. His offense and QB are bad. He got bailed out by bad PI calls and some circus catches against A&M last year.
Pretty weak arguments. If you want to talk "elite" don't make silly excuses. Win on the field.
Do you want to hear LSU fans saying "We were a Kevin Minter injury vs. UF and a missed assignment vs. Bama from a BCSNC"? No, you don't.
As for the field goal kicker nonsense, LSU is a haf-decent season by a QB away from destroying everyone. Sounds pretty weak, right?
"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in life." - Former LSU Coach and AD Paul Dietzel
Hopefully Cam Cameron can fix those problems. Does any other school really want to see LSU with an average to above average offense? I don't think so.
ETA - Admittedly, Mett is a huge question mark. Will he produce like the Bama game or like the Auburn game?

Fellas do y'all realize how big this game will be every year on Thanksgiving! So much bad blood from years past! Recruiting battles, state pride, SEC neighbors, need to beat them down badly on National TV this year more important than the Bama game!
LSU is scared! They know better and that's why they have been attacking us recently! They already knew they couldn't beat Saban but now that we have done so well in our inaugural year in the SEC and have a tidal wave of momentum behind us plus a Heisman trophy winner leading the charge they have fear in their feline hearts that we will replace them as Bama's perennial competition! Well y'all should be scared because I know we will win in Death Valley this year and so do y'all swamp rats!
Stop tweeting recruits. You're creepy.

@jacques_patrick Heard you had some good talks with Eddie Paris this past weekend... hope you get a chance to visit our #TigerNation family!
Bama's coaching is way, way better than LSU's. Not really similar situations.
A&M can beat LSU 50% of the time with the talent we have right now.
Ya know. Just in case. It's windy today.
Cool story. Nice opinions.
My, bad I thought you were saying that our defense will be bad/terrible because of all the losses... I misundertood
And I understand ya'll were a few plays away from having an elite season... LSU was also a few plays away from being undefeated (and possibly back-to-back Champs if OKST doesnt miss a FG last year!)... every fanbase can play that game.
What you do not udnerstand is that it will take more than 1 good/great season for the A&M program to be considered elite. It's a lot easier to sneak up on everyone with a relatively unknown coach & QB, and win 10+ games... it's another thing to do it again, and again, and again... which is what LSU has done in the past 10 years, Bama has done in the past 5 years, Miami & Florida State did in the 90's, etc. To be truly elite, you have to get on top, and then stay on top when every team you play gives 110% to beat you... that's when you are elite.
Like I've stated many times, A&M wil probably get there soon, but 1 or 2 good seasons will not prove your "eliteness" in college football. Let's talk again in 5 years when Johnny is long gone and see how many Titles you have... then you can consider your program part of the "elite" (no knock on A&M at all... it just takes time to become a college football fixture, not 1 or 2 seasons).
