I know a few of you here follow the baseball team, I watch them anytime I can but haven't followed their recruiting over the years
The last two season, most apparently in Omaha 2011, we're talented, but undersized, we just don't have many if any intimidating players at the plate, skilled yes but not intimidating 'In my opinion'.
Hate the four letter, but this was all I could find. http://espn.go.com/high-school/baseball/recruiting/school/_/id/245/class/2013
Are we undersized, does the staff recognize this, is it being addressed, or does Rob Childress prefer the lineup like it is?

I'm not so worried about size if they can play. But, Childress seems to like guys that can run over slow guys that may hit for more power.
I wish he would add a couple of guy with some pop just so we at least have the threat of an occasional home run.
You realize that Childress has taken A&M on the best run of baseball seasons in school history right?

I'm not a Childress hater, but he's underachieved IMO. He could use some heat.
Good point Aubrey. Just posting my thoughts. I don't feel like we commanded much respect at the plate, power hitters that can change an entire game if the pitcher misses by an inch.
I wasn't arguing with you, I certainly think that Childress has been a little stubborn with his approach at times and the Aggies could use some power in the middle of the lineup. But to suggest like Outlandos that he could be on the hot seat is just absurd.
I agree with Aubrey. I don't think Childress' job is in danger at this point.
I don't expect him to be on the hot seat either. Schedule gets more difficult, he seems to be up to the challenge, I like that, he seems like a competitor hopefully our guys hit the weight room and do what's necessary to compete.
defense has to improve and too many weak sticks
I'm not thrilled with him so far, but I just don't think he is going to get fired this year.
He definitely needs to step up.
For those of you thinking he may be under the hot seat (even a little), let me ask you this:
Who do you replace him with that would be an improvement? You are asking for an upgrade over a coach that has done this:
2007 Texas A&M 48–19–0 13–13–0 NCAA Super Regional
2008 Texas A&M 46–19–0 19–8–0 NCAA Super Regional
2009 Texas A&M 37–24–0 14–13–0 NCAA Regional
2010 Texas A&M 41–21–1 14–12–1 NCAA Regional
2011 Texas A&M 47–22–0 19–8–0 College World Series
To say he's needs to "step up his game" is a little ridiculous. Granted, a more exciting brand of baseball would be welcome. You can't say he's not producing, though
The true test of a man's intelligence is how much he agrees with you.
How about my buddies kid being 12 and LHN all over him with recruiting ?
Yeah basically he told me, Texas is the leader right now, they've got him on TV, Internet, and he's going to make more money at Texas.
any time you blow a Regional that your team is hosting in the manner that it occurred this year is what should be "ridiculous."
A&M is about to start playing some serious ball in the SEC....I hope you're not used to hosting regionals, b/c I doubt that trend continues.
Childress had a pretty solid team this year and couldn't even get out of the first round against mediocre competition at HOME.
those photos are no joke BTW, that's right here in San Antonio, tu is piling cash in Sa Town....
soak it in, LHN is out polishing young athletes, and trying to pull them in, YES even at the age of 12,
Now I feel better
