Another veteran leader to add the HOUSTON TEXANS defense? Understood he's not the player he once was, but getting him would give us flexibility when drafting, and would guarantee our focus on WR/NT/RT in the beginning rounds of the draft.

Us? Does he have eligibility left? Are you associated with a pro football team? Which one?
Ha, don't be that guy. Them, the Texans, whatever. My question was posed as a Houston fan to other Houston fans, which happen to be a large portion of GigEm247's subscriber base.
I had no idea what team would need him. Texans, Cowboys, whatever. If the Bears don't want him, you have to figure he must be used up.

The Texans have nobody at their 2nd ILB spot, which was clearly evident when Cushing went down. If he's cheap, they could form a good tandem and not make ILB a high priority for the Texans in the draft.
Do you think this Aggie board actually consists of all Texans fans??
When did a "large portion" = "all Texans fans"? Do you deny that there a significant amount of Texans fans on this board?
Word is that Brian was hoping for a 1 year, $3 to 3.5 million contract to stay in Chicago. The Bears countered with 1 year, 1 million guaranteed and another 1 million in incentives. He turned it down.
Given his advanced age and injury history, plus cap issues in Chicago, there was no way the Bears were going to sign him for what Brian was expecting.
He is seriously overestimating his worth, and it is quite possible that he'll just retire unless some team takes some stupid pills (or has money to burn) to pay him what he is expecting.
All he is saying is when talking about pro teams you should say which one. I assumed you were talking about the cowboys because i have heard that they have talked to him.
No, but there are also a f***load of Cowboys fans as well. Considering that the Cowboys are actually the team running a Tampa 2 now and the Texans aren't...surely you can understand the confusion regarding your original post...
