Sips need to realize that things aren't going to get better for them until they stop lying to themselves. When we moved to the SEC they said we'd struggle. When we had success in the SEC they said the SEC was overrated and our success proves the Big 12 is as god as the SEC. After last night, after we destroyed the best team the Big 12 has to offer, what do sips have to say? They point to stats from days before all of us were born.
Actually, most of them said we'd get our teeth kicked in for years.
Fact is, I posted on your board 13 months ago (Bad development on the SEC Deal) that I thought y'all would get in, and would find success in the SEC. You can run around beating your chest like you just won the MNC, or you can act like you've been here before (I know it's been awhile). Since your talking facts, I threw out all time numbers. I didn't pull out specific dates that help support my position. Fact is, college football is cyclic. Have we been down for years? Yes. Did you have a good year? Yes. Again, sustain it for awhile. You keep that line together and you could be looking at something significantly better than a Cotton Bowl Victory.
And Texas beat Ole Miss by 33 and A&M beat them by 3, so we'd beat you by 30 points , amirite?
There is no transitive property of football and to suggest that there is such is down right delusional and stupid.
Also, Lonestar, you came over and tried to pull the transitive property on our board shortly after you or someone else said that JF's game was better than VY's NC game. That's just delusional. Beating a down OU team in pretty much a home field in a non-BCS bowl versus beating a team that ESPN was christening as "the Greatest Team of All-Time" at pretty their own home field with two Heisman trophy winners in the National Championship is not even comparable. Not even close and trying to argue that it is just down right delusional.
If I were UT, I would (a) move a bunch of my games to a network most of my fanbase can't get, (b) assign my TV rights to a lame-duck conference for 13 years so I have no way out and (c) give Mack Brown another raise and extension. Oh, sorry, they already did that. Nevermind.
Wow, great comeback there. I enjoy watching LHN. Tell me again what channel is showing all of your sporting events? Mack has lost it, got it. Most of our fanbase is in agreement and wants him gone.
.....an 8 yr ban....now that is impressive!
Proverbs 10:4 (NIV)
Lazy hands make for poverty,
but diligent hands bring wealth.
I got it last year too.
We don't have to beat our chest. The national media (non sips and non Ags) is doing it for us.
Get your head out of your ass and go read your own board if you think your fanbase didn't dismiss our success this year and the strength of the SEC. But time and time again we played ball and proved you guys delusional, and even crushed the best the Big 12 has to offer.
Enjoy your mediocre conference and keep searching in the past to make yourself feel better about your current situation and future.
Aggy finished in 5th place in the SEC? Is that really the benchmark of success? Hell, you finished in 5th place in the Big 12 a few times.
Why are you so excited, exactly? Act like you've been there before.
Sorry - you haven't. Carry on then.
"You finished 5th place in the sec" - we are going to finish top 5 in the nation you dumb motherfucker. When was the last time you did that? 4 damn years ago. So yes, it is a benchmark of success. Thanks for making the argument for the extreme strength of the SEC though.

Oh hey fairies so nice of yall to make it over.
The entire nation, more specifically the Big 12 and to the greatest extent Texas and Baylor mouthed off all year about how we would get ass pounded in the SEC. Well, the results are in and the only ass kicking delivered this season were to our opponents; including the Co-Champion of your conference that beat the dog piss out of you.
More specifically the Big 12 fans spent the entire season pumping it as the deepest conference in the country and marginalizing our success as the SEC being "overrated". I mean had Oklahoma and Texas not had to play all nine teams in the Round Robbin format they would be playing in the Natty and in the Fiesta Bowl respectively right?
This isn't an opportunity to beat our chest as much as it is a chance to call Texas fans out out on their arrogance. This clearly wasn't the failure you alluded too and instead of admitting you are wrong you marginalize our success by bringing up an all time record that is irrelevant to the debate at hand.
You would think the Texas t-shirt fan base would show a little humility, grow a pair, and admit they were wrong but that would clearly be asking way to much. That is why I came to your board and stirred shit up.
I think we "did that" 3 years ago. #2 to be exact. Then, there's that pesky National Championship we won in 2005. When was your last?
So, a top 5 finish is the "benchmark" for Aggy? You care to compare top 5 finishes between Aggy and Texas? Atleast play for a BCS bowl before you decide that Aggy is good.
You're still missing the damn point. No one is denying the past. If you dont consider a top 5 finish good then that is absurd. And it doesnt matter if we went to BCS or not. Northern Illinois made a BCS bowl. To deny our greatness this season is asinine.
You had a good season... no doubt. "greatness" is an extreme reach, at best. Florida and LSU both beat Aggy in your own yard, and just lost to teams for the Big Least and ACC. You beat only 9 Division l teams all year, and barely beat La.-Tech and Old Mrs.
Be proud, and build on it. It means nothing if you don't achieve what great teams do, which is a BCS bowl and/or a national championship.
Right now - you won 5th place in your conference and beat one top 10 team, while losing to 2 top 10 teams.
And we could beat anyone right now. I dont care if we lost to lsu or florida earlier in the season because we would beat them now. It is great because I hear everywhere from none Aggie fans that we are the best team in the nation right now.
Yeah you clearly pulled that transitive bullshit out of your arse. Nobody is comparing scores here; simply stating we beat the crap out of your conference Co-Champ, OU. The same "down" OU team that you didn't even belong on the same field with.
The thread you are referencing was deleted by your spin control Mods.
Marginalizing the Cotton Bowl just because it doesn't have the Bullshit Corrupt Standings (BCS) tag is asinine. the system is flawed when a team that lost to a 6-6 Iowa team makes it in over Texas A&M or even OU for that matter. But I am sure that 8-6 Wisconsin team really deserved that BCS birth after "dominating" that vaunted B1G schedule. Get past the name on the Bowl and respect the matchup.
We destroyed the best team the Big 12 had to offer. We made the Big 12 champs quit. Texas A&M is top 5 nationally (arguably best team in nation) and we are JUST GETTING STARTED.
Actually, KState was the best in the Big 12 this year. You destroyed the 2nd best team in the Big 12 in a non-BCS bowl game. I could "argue" that plenty of teams are the "best in the nation"... it doesn't make it reality. The #2 and #3 teams in the SEC were beaten by representatives of the Big Least and ACC. What's your point?
And, actually - you are just finishing and not "getting started"...
Also, I could care less about the "Big 12"... I pull for a team that has a tradition of winning and don't need to ride on the coattails of conference affiliation.
Keep lying to yourself. That's why your program sucks and you all are in a second tier conference. The rest of the college football world sees what you don't want to acknowledge. Keep living in the past buddy.
Oklahoma was co-champion.
Big East > Big12 this season, probably, its close but Meh
We know you guys don't care about he Big12, you tried to leave but Larry Scott, said 'No thanks', probably would be best for everyone in the Big12 to just kick you guys out of the conference.
