According to a couple of Baylor co-workers who have now changed their underwear for the last time this week.
Sources from the Baylor Board of Regents have confirmed Art Briles agreed to an extension with Baylor on Sunday night. The extension also increases his buyout.
Arkansas, Tennessee, and Auburn all requested to talk with Baylor's coach and he chose to remain at Baylor.
I don't blame him - he can stay at Baylor until retirement.
He may have interviewed but from what I've seen he wasn't a top candidate for any of those jobs...
he cant get enough of that tarp
Saw a line on Baylor 247 message board: "You go 7-5 at Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas you get fired. You go 7-5 at Baylor, you get a raise and an extension."
Well if Brian "SW" Ethridge says so....
SEC SEC SEC!!!
Who would really want him, and at what price? Doubt he's SEC material. He may not be worth that much, and yeah, he's likely happy to be at Baylro, punking at least one team each year from BigBevo and generally being classless.
Announcing "Briles staying at Baylor" is like the class ugly duckling announcing "I'm not going to the prom"... well, nobody asked you out!
Bart Friles wants his statue on the Brazzos. He's got too much of a 'Baylor' complex to psychologically handle a real program. This news makes me happy.
Don't think he was.
thats fine. i didnt want him at Arkie. he would do well there. Briles is a good coach.
but alas, he'll stay at baylor, have no defense, get left over recruits and go 7-5 or 8-4 on good years. Very Texas Tech-ish of him.
Good for Baylor. Good for Briles. Good for Ags.
He's not doing any harm to us in Waco.
Hugh, will kennedy be able to draw up a play this year that gets the ball inside of the three point line with more than 10 seconds on the clock?
Wrong thread, bro.
But to answer your question, that is the least of my worries with this team.
Our rebounding and pick and roll defense are what worry me the most.
Y go somewhere with expectations
Your logic is boggling my mind
Briles would be perfect at Arkansas.
His TX HS connections could be used to recruit good, young, Texas talent.
The only ? would be how much would he commit to defense. I think he would, he just can't get the horses at Baylor.
Maybe posting's just not your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest.
