Not only should they be allowed to split the cash, that they do have to split, with fewer folks. But they should be allowed to make some extra cash, like the schools who know how to play nice with others, without having to add more schools.
And they wonder why people have the gaul to call them arrogant.
Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby says the league likely will seek permission from the NCAA to hold a championship game even though it doesn't have the 12 members required under the current rules.
What I don't understand is that the league apparently still plans on doing a round robin scheduling format, so the championship is always going to be a game that's already been played? I have a hard time figuring out why anyone thinks that's a good idea.

What I don't understand is why nobody in the media is talking about how the Pac 10 and Big 10 were rejected when they asked for this waiver.
Are you kidding? I could hear that arrow a mile away.
Deloss Dodds is senile and the rest of our god-forsaken conference is too scared/incompetent to stand up to him.
If they get away with this garbage, watch them try and change to an 8 game conference schedule w/o OU. Then they'll just play OU at the end of the year and call it the conference championship. In this way, they will have rigged the system (and deem themselves worthy of a national championship invite) by just winning one game a year without having to schedule anything but OOC cupcakes.
The stupidest part is that they truly think they are entitled to such preferable treatment.
Thanks for your honesty, Chuckster. +1
SEC SEC SEC!!!
Big 12-2 needs the ACC or another big conference to align with because there SOS is shit when you play all those high school teams in their conference
So what happens when (hypothetically) a 12-0 tu team plays a 9-3 OSU team and gets smoked in the conference championship game?
It's a gay idea. The Big 12 wanted to become the Big10, clear a path for tu and OU to the national championship, and lesser programs like KSU and OSU are f-ing it up for them.
Its a reactionary idea to OU getting left out of the BCS this year and I'd be pissed if I was KSU.
It's so f**king transparent. After we left they fed the media a ton of bulls**t about how playing round robin was the best way to determine a true champion and not have another situation where the better team gets upset in the championship game. And now that they've had two teams outside of OU and tu win the conference, now there need to be changes because 9 head to head match ups isn't the best way to determine a champion.
I f**king hate that conference.
And while I'm at it, I want to reiterate how good it feels to pound OU in the ass a month ago in the Cotton Bowl so that lame ass conference and its pretender paper champs.
Money grab, nothing more.
This is another perfect example why the SEC will never allow the sips in....let the cows just go chew grass

Can someone bump that thread on the OU board started by Baylor begging them to beat us?
Exactly. Only situation where you wouldn't have a clear champion from round robin is if there were a 3 way tie, but then you just have to go to rankings.
