Hypothetically, you get assigned the 2nd pick in a Snake draft, 1st picker takes Foster. Do you take Rice or McCoy? Standard ESPN rules.
"I like Bears and if you're going to be a bear, UMMMMM, BE A Grizzley"
I take McCoy but both are solid.
He doesn't get hurt and he is their offense.
When Vick is healthy he hurts McCoy.
On Flacko's best day he still doesn't hurt Rice.
Win we shall, yes we can, yes we will.
Rice has gone for 2000, 1700, 2000 yards from scrimmage the past 3 years. He is finally the goal line back.
I love McCoy, but I like Rice's track record and situation better.
I like Rice. He will be a safer option because of how much of that offense relies on him. McCoy has a lot of other weapons around him that could take touches from him. The only thing that scares me some is Rice doesn't score as much as I'd like him to for a second pick.
But I would take Aaron Rodgers 2nd.

Then that brings up another question. You guys saying Rice, would you still take him, or an elite QB like Rodgers, Brady, or Brees?
I would take Rice and then go after a high end qb in round 2 or early round 3 depending on what is left.

Is it 4 pts or 6 pts per passing TD?
Unless your picking mid to larte first round you have to go runningback with the first 5 picks, after that you can start going runningback or elite qb
4 pt Pass TD, 6 pt Rush TD
Even the elite RBs don't get more than 15-17 TDs. The elite QBs can get 40-45 TDs these days.
Since its 4 pts on each passing TD I'd go RB. With the points for rushing yards plus receiving yards with a back like Rice it is the best bet.
I don't understand the obsession with running backs going first.
Aaron rodgers will put up the most points this season. Fantasy wise.
Probably because the top 5 RBs are consistent big point guys, while Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Stafford, Eli, Romo, Vick, Newton, and a couple others all put up similar numbers.
Yah after i posted that I went to go check numbers and i realized the failure in comparing across positions.
And I would still go with rodgers after looking at the position numbers simply because of his running numbers differentiating him from those other qb's
I know it is not the safe pick but I just have a hard time passing on Adrian Peterson. You know he is capable of more than both of these guys and he will not be there in the 2nd round.
It's not the number of touchdowns that's important, it's how many more touchdowns the player can get over his competition at that position.
It's a steep drop off after the first 3 RB's. However, you can get a 38-40 TD QB in the 3rd-4th rounds. Not a tremendous dropoff until 8-10 in QB's
Put another way: I'd rather have the #2 RB + #7 QB than the #7 RB + #2 QB.
The true test of a man's intelligence is how much he agrees with you.
