I qualified for nationals swimming in high school so I love to watch it. You'd have more appreciation for the other strokes, especially butterfly, if you've done them before
I'm still trying to reconcile the mental image of Aubrey jumping off a diving platform in a speedo.

Any and every event team USA will be competing in I can get behind, no matter how lame or boring.
That's sort of my point though, it would be like skipping and running backwards being track events.

Or, it would just be like Track and Field. Gotta go with Sherm on this one, especially if you've never swum and trained competitively. Strong conditioned athletes and each stroke requires very different skills.
Yeah you could make the same argument for track and running short, medium, and long distance; normal running vs hurdles; triple jump vs long jump; etc. I know they're different and it takes different skills for each, but so does swimming. It's not like you can do hurdles in the pool
I do not understand your objection to Olympic swimming at all. At all. I get it, but I do not understand it. Think Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson convo in White Men Can't Jump (a classic).
I tried watching the US Womens basketball game, Croatia just scored its first goal, the basketball is bouncing around on the rim like its a racquetball.
Ones that we win.
I don't give a crap about the discipline or sport or hobby. I just wanna see Old Glory fly and other nations humiliated.
digging the beach volleyball right now
