Looking at the recruiting class as it stands now, there seems
to be one glaring hole. A WDE who can get to the QB.
With D. Moore gone, that need seems even more pressing.
My question. With so few spots left, does the coaching staff
take need over best available player?
Hall, Prevot, Williams and Beckwith are the guys out there.
Hall would be my choice.
None that are realistic help us immediately except maybe Williams (how realistic is he to come here), and we are in on some good 2014 guys, but if there is room you have to take a guy. As for next year, lets hope Alexander wakes up and the Taylor brothers eat everything in sight from now till Independence Day. Could RSJ be tried there (hear he doesnt have that fire for D tho)?
Your logic is boggling my mind
I think just as big a hole in this class (not necessarily for next year but going forward) is an elite offensive tackle. I love Wilson but I think he's a guard at the next level and beyond Jake and Ced O we don't really have any tackles on campus that I feel great about. German looks like a player I'm not sure he's athletic enough to be our next badass LT.
I would love to see the staff try RSJ at DE. Although if Alexander is playing as well as is being reported that greatly diminishes the need. He's probably not an every down guy like Damontre, but he's got a load of talent
None of the guys are impact for next season so I think you focus on taking the one that has the highest ceiling in a couple of years.
I'd be happy with any of those guys but I love Hall's length. Prevot has a great burst but I have no idea how long it would take him to get to 240-250lbs. I want guys that have the ability to be every down guys and i dont know that he ever will be. At least not against SEC teams who are going to be "run first".
