has us only losing 1 game....at LSU. if we get to that game undefeated, there is no way we lose. it is destiny for Sumlin and company at that point. Gig 'Em.
I hope, but losing a late season game would hurt us. Remember, we have one more year of this crap BCS system. I might rather barely lose to Bama early and then win out and hope Bama stumbles down the stretch. But then again, that's assuming Bama screws themselves, which prob won't happen. I like your take the more I think about it.
bleacher report. slow your roll.

Agreed. But beggars can't be choosers when looking for 3rd party Ag football topics this time of year. Take it for what it's worth.
But we didn't beg for it.
Then simply don't read my post...Did I put a gun to your head? It was a cliche, smartass.
None of these third party publications know this A&M team better than the diehard fans on this website. WE know what we are losing in the front 7 and who we are counting on to replace those losses. I'm quietly optimistic, but will have to wait on the performance of certain pieces before I'd even consider the 2013 team to be a top 10 squad.
Well....that specific writer and his brother are Ags and have been posting on A&M message boards since the mid-90s, so he's the same as the rest of us...lol.
I just can't visualize A&M losing to LSU. They lost so much on defense and their offense cannot keep up with ours on the scoreboard. I'm gonna go to this game so I hope I'm right. Last away game I went to was tech many moons ago. You know the tech game where they threw the goal posts in the stands.
Nice writeup and its hard to argue with any of their opposition analyses. They've done a good job of breaking down their strengths and weaknesses, key returning starters and departures and the potential game circumstances. The one shortfall in their predictions are the unknowns about the Aggies. It almost seems they're basing their projections using 100% of our '12 squad returning and don't really address the key departures and unknowns with our OL/DL/LB's.
Pdog, I can't agree with you more.
This article was blindly optimistic. There are a lot of holes that will have to be filled before we will be able to face Alabama on even ground. And we face them early in the year.
Our defense will essentially be new this year. That generally doesn't make for a national championship team.
I know our coaches will do their best, but I just can't pin 11 wins on a group of freshmen who haven't actually enrolled yet, much less put on pads in practice.
What some of y'all are forgetting is that if we beat bama and lose to LSU, we would still win the West (assuming LSU loses to Bama). In that case we go to the SEC championship, and if we win, that's one more game than Bama. In this day and age of the BCS, there is no way that Bama would make it in over us, and there is no way they pass us up unless 2 major conferences have undefeated teams.
If I have to endure another offseason of listening to my wife's family talk shit about how they beat us I'll likely spend the next 25+ seasons in Huntsville. The Ags need to find a way to beat them in their house. No exceptions.
This! I'm surrounded by them.
