Hamm, have you heard anything about UCLA trying to flip Miles? Some rumors starting to surface. This is a guy we must have sign in Feb.
Why is UCLA all over the place?
Aren't we in a recruiting dead period?
Backdooring your way into the PAC 12 championship game gets you some love I guess. And what's the actual rumor? Calling is one thing, him visiting is another.
i think he and massington go to the same HS so people are speculating. If Kam even entertains the idea his ship will sail. i'm not really to worried about it beacuse i think we will be ok either way. I'm nervous that we have so many studs in 2014 looking at us and we are not going to be able to take a full class
Coaches can still call in dead period
Massington just committed there and he's a teammate of KMiles... I'd put Sumlin up against anybody, but was curious if Hamm had gotten wind of anything
Wrecking90, we need a safety in this class bad and victor isn't getting in it seems
ya we are very thin @ safety but there are some sick guys in th 14 class that will be here soon enough. Is Kam good enough to start this year? how does he compare to 2014 guys?
I think Kam would be awesome but i think Sumlin is going to be very hard on anyone thinking about taking visits or flipping this close to signing day.
Wow, just looked at the depth chart and we really need a safety bad in this class. I wonder if ken marshall is developing or not and hopefully these young corners get alot better so we can move everett back to safety

I think the fact that we are thin at safety AND the fact that Miles said he wants to play in the SEC is in our favor. Maybe he's just wanting to take a free trip out to southern Cal. Regardless, I'm not worried about losing a commit that we actually want to keep at this point.
What is your source of these "rumors?"
Isn't Kam Miles Damontre's cousin?
Good to know. Is there "dead period" and also "quiet period" or did I make the second one up?
Yes, there is both. During a quiet period you can only have in-person contact with the recruit on the institutions campus. During a dead period, basically you cannot have in-person contact with the recruit on or off campus. Not even on an unofficial visit. A coach cannot speak at an event like an awards banquet if a prospect is present during a dead period. About the only exception is during an unofficial visit, if an NLI has been signed.

Caleb Benenoch was eluding to the Kam flip via twitter. He didn't say it directly, but it's pretty obvious.
SEC SEC SEC!!!
I didn't see anything, got a tweet?
Deshazor Everett to Safety?
Benenoch likes to run his mouth a lot which is why even the horns would rather have Billings than him. Unless Miles says it, I wouldn't worry about it. If he did flip, Ed Pope could still be converted back to safety and Kam's spot filled by another player we would like but can't offer due to limited spots.
In years past, a possible flip by Miles would feel catastrophic. Now, Coach Sumlin can fill his spot with a player who could contribute as equally or better. Let's just enjoy the type of recruiting momentum we haven't seen in decades and trust our coaching staff will handle the rest.
Don't act like this wouldn't be a big loss. We need a big time safety in this class and that's Miles. We are in on no other safeties that I know of so his loss would be huge.
I thought we were talking about Clear. I bet Miles is solid, Benenoch just runs his fat mouth.
Thats your source? LMAO.
