Collins went from 15 to 45
Nick Harvey 2-6
Jeffrey from 40-72
Josh Walker 63-73
Varshuan Nixon 11-20
Darrion is now at #2
Seems very legit.
He just does what Burton and Gerry would love to do.
And watch Darrion end up committing to the Ags.
1st, I don't see his bro letting him even entertain that idea.
2nd, as Hamm-bam pointed out and Howe won't retract, he does not yet have an A&M offer.
3rd, if that actually did happen, Ketch would find a reason to drop him back down, wouldn't he?
If he commits to ANYONE but the sips, he will drop out of the top 20.
It never fails...
IF its necessary to bring it over here please c/p it and not link it so Lapband doesn't get the hits he wants by Ags clamoring to go look at it to hate him more.
Screw the stupid fat-cheating buttfucker.. And his money.
Brenhams next star Darrion Johnson Class of 2014
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
A top 2 prospect should have national offers... Where are they? Why hasn't A&M offered? Why wasn't he first DB they went after?? He's 20 minutes down the road.
Look Brenhamhorn, I think your brother is a legit D1 prospect and will be able to start as a DB on a lot of college programs (assuming he puts in the work).. Very few kids can do that. Period. Your brother has talent. No one is going to say he doesn't.
But the ONLY reason he's got a #2 ranking on the lsr list right now, is b/c Geoff Ketchum believes that Mack Brown is going to offer and receive a commitment from your brother. It's the ONLY reason. Period. I've been on rivals for more than 10 years and that is exactly how Ketch has operated every single year, but this year is the most blatant. Ketch pads the rankings of longhorn commits. That's what he does. Bobby Burton was quoted just last month that Ketch has final say on the rivals rankings of Texas prospects..
If Darrion Johnson were a Texas A&M commit he wouldn't even be in the top 20... Geoff Ketchum would cite off field issues..

Gonna use A&M as leverage...cool.
I hate consipiracy BS, so I'm going to play a little devil's advocate:
- Hoza at #3 - you realize 247 has him at #3 too, right?
- Harvey at #6 - 247 has him at #10.
- Jefferey from 40 to 72 - 247 has him at #60. 60-72 really isn't a big difference. Keeping him at #40 in TX means he is a 4 star. 247 doesn't have him as a 4 star.
- Nixon probably isn't a top 11 player in the state, but top 20 is still damn good. Plus, Ketch still has him as the highest RB in the state, over Texas commit, Catalon.
- Collins drop is big, but he's not the only one that thought he was overrated. I'll leave it at that unless a certain person wants to chime in.
- Kealvin Davis jumped from #49 to #36. (not even top 100 by 247)
- DSG jumped from #66 to #14 (#18 by 247)
Only huge beef I had with the A&M guys was dropping Walker so low. Head-scratcher.
But, you also need to look at the Texas commits/leans:
- Heard dropped a spot.
- Roberson dropped 2 spots.
- Knox dropped 3 spots.
- Thomas dropped 3 spots.
- Hampton dropped 8 spots.
- Catalon dropped 4 spots.
The only Texas commits to move up were Bernard and Gresham, and that's because they were unranked before.
Ketch does the Texas program no favors. The message that Texas squanders talent is being hammered home by the Aggie staff. This overrating of Texas commits only helps that message. Keep doing what you do Ketch.
This I can agree.. The over ranking of their players makes it appear that they have the best talent.. But everyone knows they don't.
You guys need to understand that Ketch is a product of the system at Texas. Spin control is way of the sip.
A&M's having success? Sip answer: Ignore it. Mack makes statements like they were glad to win the Alamo Bowl even though they really wanted to play LSU in the Cotton. No mention of playing us, cause we don't exist.
Not getting to hand pick recruits anymore? Sip answer: Ketch bumps our guys, just like he always has. "Look at how well we are still recruiting. A&M is still not on our level. This OB top 100 says so."
Culture of entitlment in Austin? Sip answer: Kids are good kids, work hard. Coaches weren't good enough. Get new coaches who produce similar results.
Not winning? Sip Answer: Team is young. For the third straight year. The once young freshmen are now juniors, but still young. This next class is uber talented and will push them. Again, like the last three years.
In the end, I love it. it's part of the problem. Texas has an overrating problem. They over rate themselves, others over rated them, they believe the overrating, and are then shocked as to how they lose to mediocere teams. They can't see past their own errogance, and that is how they got in this situation in the first place.
Until they acknowledge that their ego is part of the problem, they'll continue this way for a decade.
