Wonder whether Kingsbury uses this to jack up his contract and whether Ags pay up, or let him go to SEC East and help spread the Spread. In a way, he'd be going back to the temple of Spread, home of Hall Mumme.
Give kingsbury a couple more years and he can do a hell of a lot better than Kentucky
He'd be a certified DA to walk into that job. He graduated from Tech but surely he isn't that stupid.
Win we shall, yes we can, yes we will.
I would be shocked to see Deruyter leave to go anywhere after 1 year. He certainly won't be going to Kentucky. Fresno is a better football job. I can't imagine Kingsbury would go to Kentucky. Now maybe somewhere like Louisville would be a different story. That's a place you can obviously be very successful at that already has a lot of offensive talent.
I would think Kingsbury could do significantly better than Kentucky if he keeps up the success he's having at A&M for another year or two.... However I'm prepared to hear his name pop up for every other job opening from here on out
I know it's a little off topic, but how bad is Lubbock? My dad has told me since I can remember it is just about the worst place on earth.
Meh that looks like an opinion column by Dennis Dodd, not anything official.
Think guys like Chad Morris and Kirby Smart would be some more serious candidates.
Think Bakersfield, but dry (weather and alcohol), smaller, more remote, with dust storms, a preponderance of STDs and it's full of tards.
It's that bad.
It's the asshole of Texas.
I stand corrected, it's no longer dry (alcohol), so they have that going for them.
Agree. He's a young guy, and needs to be a BCS O Coordinator for more than a year before he's an SEC head coach. I think we give raises to the coordinators, sumlin and prob yates and beaty.
Edit: and Terry Price.

Maybe posting's just not your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest.
Sonny Dykes is interesting because he could be a candidate for TTU if Tubbs moves. However, he could be the 2nd coming of Hal Mumme at UK if he gets the opportunity.
There are going to be a TON of job openings. Any coach would be stupid to jump on that one right now.
'ol Dave Cutcliffe
I imagine that tubbs would love to bail on the dirt monkeys. Also agree that Dykes would like to move up as well. It wouldn't surprise me to see Strong leave Looyville for a program like UT, Auburn or Arkansas...Those will be available soon

How awesome is it to have coordinators that people want?
pretty fvcking awesome. We have something special going in aggieland.
both would be crazy to take that job. I understand the desire to take it but that is a loser job. KK could make it work for a couple of years and get a better one with the style of offense he runs but it could go disasterously badly there as well.
I'd love to see Deroot get that job, don't think Kliff is ready to get poached as a head coach. I'd be more worried about Snyder getting poached than Kliff, but I don't think he wants to go to the football hell that is Lexington.
Snyder made the Marshall mistake once
There's 3 better openings in the SEC this year, Kentucky is in a pretty crappy situation. I think they should have given joker another year, anyone they interview worth a damn will probably interview with ut, auburn, and arkie.
