From ESPN at the Area Code Games:
• Kohl Stewart is a top football recruit, committed to Texas A&M to play quarterback, but hit 94 in his one outing at the Area Code Games and has been up to 97 consistently in the past. He'll throw an inning in the Perfect Game All-American Classic at Petco on Sunday, which I'll be attending. After Ball, Stewart might be the most likely first-rounder from this event, assuming football doesn't get in the way of him signing.
Just another reinforcement that he's a first round kid, just a matter of how high.

Really hope we land him
I hope we he plays baseball for A&M to be honest. We could use a stud like him as our 1 or 2 for a few years.
...who the heck seriously knows except God, and Sumlin. ~ Aggiemom6
At this point, based on what we know about his family situation and all the quotes he's given to the media, there is absolutely no reason to believe he will not be on campus the 2013 season.
The QB competition between him, Kenny, and Davis is going to be awesome. One of the reasons I really don't see us taking a QB in the 2014 class. By the 2014 season, we would have:
Showers - RS Sr
Joeckel - RS Sr
Manziel - RS Jr
Davis - RS So or true Jr (most likely RS)
Stewart - So or RS Fr (most likely RS)
Hill - So or RS Fr (most likely RS)
Unless 3 guys transfer, decommit, quit the team, change positions, etc. we really do not need another QB for that season.
Keith Law went further in an insider article stating that he believes he's probably a top-10 pick. I don't think you turn down top-10 or even top-15 money....
Lots of money to pass up. I don't see him passing it up. Would you pass it up?
So I read things like this all the time -- but usually written by adults. He's not an adult -- he's a kid.
I think he'll choose college, friends, being the QB on Kyle Field in front of 90,000 screaming fans (how many people go to a Single A game?), being a pitcher in the CWS, sorority girls, keg parties, etc....over riding a bus, lonely phone calls home to his family and friends (who are having a blast in college), paying taxes, contributing to a 401K, hanging with grown ass men.
Look, I get it that money is important...eventually. But, it's not that important to a kid. I'm sure he's met Lauren Tannehill. If I'm him, I think..."So, if I go to A&M to play QB, I get that???" Plus play QB in Kyle Field, Bryant Denny, Tiger Stadium...on ESPN? I'm thinking, "F**** money!"
^^^He gets it.
