Tweeted he was offered by Ohio State.
So what are we waiting for?
Kid should've been offered already...
Chason, come on down.
I really want both. I can't choose just one. 2015 is probably a year we could take 2 anyways. I just can't pick between Kyler and Chason. That's like making me pick between Drake and The Weeknd. I just can't do it. If you put a gun to my head and told me to pick one, I'd probably get shot.
Abel Tesfaye >>>>>>>>> Drake
Although, it's kind of silly to choose b/w the two of them. Completely different artists, IMO.
haha now that they've split up, I got a feeling Drake is going to go downhill a little. Abel was HUGE influence on Take Care. Drake wasn't a big influence on Abel, he just brought him up the ranks, so I think he'll be fine. Abel is still Abel, but the more time Drake spends with Wayne, the worse he gets. Although I must say Drake went in on 5AM in Toronto even though it pains me to listen to it since he disses Abel in it. Drake and The Weeknd splitting up put me in a deep depression.... OVOVXO forever....
Drake needs to think real hard before he goes in on Abel. AF is a thousand times more talented than Drake and it's not really close.
Agree though, 5am in Toronto is very nice.
Take Care is a perfect example. I really enjoyed the album and Abel produced, wrote, or was featured in about half the album. His presence really elevated the album as a whole. Drake did his thing on The Zone, but the rest of the 3 mix tapes and the 3 Trilogy bonus songs were all Abel. Now he's doing songs with Wiz and Juicy J and is totally taking over the song. I have yet to hear a song with him or by him that I don't like. As far as R&B goes, he's on a whole other level. I think Miguel and Frank Ocean are pretty good, but The Weeknd is just in a realm of his own.
Knowing Kevin as well as I do, they are not going to wait around for A&M.

How ironic would that be if Kyler went to OSU?
...who the heck seriously knows except God, and Sumlin. ~ Aggiemom6
The kid is a sophomore. On top of that, he is a QB. Evaluations are crucial at that position. I want the 2015 guys to come to camps and play parts of their junior years before we hand out offers.

1. The Weeknd
3. Frank Ocean
I was simply stating how they're approaching the process

I think the hesitation on offering Kyler comes down to this:
A. You got to figure out if you want 1 or 2 QBs in the class, and a lot of that depends on how the 2014 QB recruiting is going which is too early to tell right now.
B. If you do only want one QB then you have to be a lot more picky, and if Kyler and Chason are tied on their big board like they are on mine then you're not ready to commit to one over the other until you see some more junior year or at the very least in camps this summer.
C. There's still a risk that Kyler won't grow. That said, it is very likely he grows since he is so young and chances are he ends up around the 6 foot mark like Johnny. However, it's still a risk you have to evaluate at this point.
D. You could offer both Kyler and Chason right now, but then you run the risk of one jumping on it then and there and the other progresses better. Then you're stuck.
What I would do is wait it out as long as possible in order to further evaluate, but if they continue to rack up a lot of big time offers, then just bite the bullet and offer them both and just let everything else work itself out. You'll most likely still end up with 1 or 2 REALLY good QB(s).
This makes me sad
Last I heard on the Kyler situation, we were not putting pressure on him and Kevin wanted him to be a kid and not deal with all the recruiting stuff just yet. Thought I read that around state title game.
I wouldn't expect anything less from a great prospect like Kyler. Will probably be a national athlete in his class and would be silly to sit back waiting for an A&M offer. He is being proactive with his future and will likely get an offer from A&M down the road and will be in a good position to land him.
Bro, we need to hang out!!!
Brenhams next star Darrion Johnson Class of 2014

Get that weak shit outta here. Dude sucks.
Haha if I can make it to the Montgomery-Brenham game this year we should!
