They brought in this guy http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=28715&SPID=2164&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=205113267&Q_SEASON=2012 last year to lock down the state of Texas. Worked out alright last year as the Tigers took Danielle Hunter and Aggie legacy Corey Thompson. This year has been a different story however with Sumlin at the helm. They have not won a single heads up for a Texas kid in 2013 against A&M. Off the cuff, we have won head to head in TX with:
Ricky Seals Jones
McGaughey's job may be in jeopardy.

Also, this is a random thought, but how bad of an idea was it for Tech not to fight the inclusion of TCU into the Big 12? They are getting destroyed in recruiting by the Horned Frogs. Tech has one single commit from the Texas top 50. TCU has five. Kliff is going to have his hands full in Lubbock.
Tech was in no position to fight TCU coming into the Big 12. Texas didn't even really want them. However, OU and Oklahoma St. were emphatic they wanted another game in Texas every other year and Tech and Texas pretty much conceded as the conference had limited options.
TCU adds nothing to the conference from a television perspective.
Inviting TCU into the big12 was such a desperation move it makes me laugh. Texas, OU, TTU, and Baylor all relied on Dallas.
It was such a bad move to bring in a school right in the middle of their stomping grounds. Especially since it didn't bring any new TVs to the deal.
Glad we are out of that dumpster fine conference.
