Bringing the goods to tu?
A duffle bag full...
He will fail there
...who the heck seriously knows except God, and Sumlin. ~ Aggiemom6
Yeah cuz recruiting was there problem
Disagree. He'll continue to get high quality recruits (or at least, he'll get them and they will end up high quality recruits by the ranking services!); I'm just skeptical they will end up using that talent effectively which has been Texas' problem for years. I would have preferred him to end up at a school that we don't go to head-to-head for recruits, but don't think his presence will matter all that much when you look at what we have. I think the key though will be our Houston recruiting. Beatty dominated Dallas and McKinney dominated Houston. As OC, I doubt McKinney will have as much time to recruit. That said, Banks and Spavital seem like they can pick up the slack.
I read on shaggybevo that the Horns apparently spent years disparaging this guy, alluding to his dealings and connections with street agents, steering recruits to deal with street agents, etc. So now it sort of strikes at the Horns' credibility to bring such a guy on board their staff.

not sure exactly where i read it, as it was about a week ago now, and i've gotten sick since... so i goggled it...here's one thread with several commenters taking a swipe at his "record" at LSU, and dealings with street agents...
I hate the sips and I get this recently, but aren't they top 5 over all, all time in winning percentage? Isn't that what you'd hope for at any program? Where is the wasted talent in that?
does texas really have a talent problem? Granted he is a great recruiter but they have never been devoid of talent at any position. they may make bad choices on which recruits to take and those that will continue to improve. Personally there is a sense of entitlement over there. Those guys get everything on a silver platter. the difference between the weight and conditioning program at A&M and tu is palpable. The players there are a priveleged class and they know it. untill that changes they are going to have a hard time getting back on top. Thank God the coach at KSU isn't there he would clean house and make them a power over night.
