Figured this one deserved its own thread. Nobody from A&M has ever won an individual medal, but there are two Aggie swimmers in the women's 100 meter breaststroke final at 2:15.
Breeja Larson represents team USA and is the 4th seed in the final, she has a pretty good chance of making it onto the podium. She's a current A&M student (Class of '14.)
Alia Atkison represents Jamaica and is the 8th seed in the final, but was noteworthy yesterday because she won a swim-off to advance to the final.

Interesting, I was going by what it says on AggieAthletics which is "The pair are Texas A&M's second and third individual finalists ever at the Olympics and will be seeking the program's first-ever individual medal."
Perhaps they just mean swimming.
Hence, the word "program"
I would think "Program" meant Texas A&M athletics, or they should have worded it as "The pair are Texas A&M Swimming's..."
The power of deduction eludes Mr. Bloom.
well I get what y'all are saying, but that seems like odd word choice if they meant it specifically for swimming.
When you went to WV I suggested you might want to drop Randy 15min drive from Charleston.
I read it the same way Aubrey did.
NBC I think. Need updates for us at work.
Water polo on NbC right now.
Watching this water polo bs right now. These women are essentially wearing one piece thongs.
Unfortunately, most of these chicks are pretty thick.
Atkinson finishes 4th, Larson 6th. No medals today for the Ags.
Atkinson - 4th
Larson - 6th
