why would you want to play tcu? serious question.
Would love to play Tech. There is a lot of hate which makes the games awesome.
Nobody in the Big 12 playing A&M after we joined the SEC was meant as a punitive action to limit A&M players in-state exposure. However, it has not worked out that way as we are playing Rice, SHSU, SMU and UTEP and after next year we'll be back to playing Arky in Dallas again. Getting TTU to break ranks is a fairly big deal for A&M. I would venture that fans have figured out that having A&M in the SEC makes football season that much more fun and interesting.
Lol only time I made the trip to Lubbock in my 5 years was when they threw the goalposts in the stands. Some 40 year old guy with no teeth and a handle bar mustache punched my 19 year old girlfriend. Security wouldn't let me get close to him. Our hotel smelled of cow shit.
Do not want to play any Big 12 school- period.
This only a positive for them, their next year OOC: SMU, SFA, and Texas State so of course they want to play us. They would make in one home game with us what they will for those three combined. No thanks tell them to schedule Cincinnati
You people are amazing! You have one good year and suddenly you believe you're part of the college football blue blood club! atm has has good years in the past and then came crashing back down to mediocrity, I fully expect the same to prove true again. Take away you're one SHOCKING win over a true blue blood last year (BAMA), and you're just another 5th place finisher in your own conference! What, about your history, makes you think this is any different? Act like you've been there before, oh wait you haven't! I swear reading your comments make me think you're all in middle school! Keep in mind...you're not blue blood material! Never have been, never will be!
We are a college football blueblood, we've just underachieved.
Playing Tech is beneath us.
Not to even mention that finishing 5th in our conference still put us 4 tds better than #1 in the Big12.
So, yeah, we're awesome. Shut up and admit it and your pathetic life will be easier.
I'm sorry but "underachieving" since 1939 does not equal college football elite.
Beneath you? atm is 37-32 vs Tech all time! Hardly dominating!
Except that we won tons of SWC titles. SInce we've been a public, non-military university, we've been doing just fine. I believe we're currently top-20 all-time in wins.
Unlike Tech, who has never been relevant in anything and never will be.
Thanks for the concern though. We'll try to remember that as we're killing it in the SEC with our 103,000 seat stadium and insanely huge check.
No one even remembers Texas Tech. It's a shitty school with a shitty stadium and students that live and breath to beat A&M.
Whereas A&M could care less about Tech. Congrats on only trailing us by 5. You're almost relevant.
That's my point! One successful year and you conveniently forget everything up to that point. I guess UT is now beneath you? 37-76 all time. Grow up.
Quite frankly, at this point playing Texas is also beneath us. Tell me horn, what is would your prediction be if Texas were to play A&M?
Not a tech fan, just find it disgusting when people gloat and put others down when they're not much better.
Well then tell me, what are you doing here? You would certainly have to agree that A&M is currently better than Texas.
I'm not putting anyone down, just stating facts. OU didn't belong on the same field as us and they murdered tech and Texas. What's the point of playing JV schools like those?
They add nothing.
Nothing like a butt hurt sip coming to our board to defend WT Tech.
Keep living in the past. If you can't see what Sumlin is doing here then you're a moron.
Playing UT will never be beneath you. As for predicting a score...atm would have beaten UT last year I have no doubt, but being able to do it on a consistent basis is a whole different story. I guess what I'm saying is have more than ONE good year before you start acting like you're in the same conversation with USC, BAMA, UT, Mich, UF, etc. you may very well get there one day but you ain't today!
If Texas can climb their way back into the top-4 Texas schools, we'll think about playing them.
Currently, they're an afterthought to Baylor. Just no upside playing a cellar dwellar like the Horns. It would make their year to beat you, but if you win by 30 like you're predicted to, no one cares.
What's history proven so far? It is likely that UT stays mediocre and atm stays an 11-2 team? Or atm regains they're historic place at the middle of the pack and UT gets back to being a top 5 team? My money's on history repeating itself. Enjoy you new found success now, I don't think it lasts, and regardless of how much you try to hype yourselves up, deep down you don't either.
