Where are we ranked start of 2013 season?
8-without any of Damonster, Joeckel, Mathews
7-with 1of the 3
5-with 2 of the 3
3-with all 3 coming back
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Think that's about right. I'd say #7.
Pretty confident we're top 10. With a really good bowl win, could be top 5.
I think it will also be dependent on how many players go pro from Bama, LSU, Oregon and Notre Dame. I dont see Oklahoma, Kansas State or Florida state being top ten either. Get Demontre and Matthews back i say around 5 no lower than 8. Top 10 without a doubt.
We're going to lose 2 of the 3 guys, plus some. My biggest fear is o-line and d-line depth. We can all be honest with each other, our team does much better in an underdog role than we do as a favorite, so for that reason I hope we're 10-12.
How so? We won the games we should've won and only lost to the #4 & #7 teams in the nation. Honestly, I don't buy into how a team has historically performed will determine how they perform in the future. It's all about leadership in the athletic department and more so the coaching staff. These teams turn over every 3 yrs or so. You can change the culture of a program in a relatively short period of time.
we better start off pretty high-- would be happy with anywhere in the Top 10. We lose a lot of talent on the one hand, and we play a fairly light schedule as those teams stack up right now... so if we lose any of those games, we're gonna tank. And even if we win 'em, probably won't push a lot higher unless teams above us fall. All in all, will be happy with another top-10 start and finish. Really happy if we can get a BCS Bowl game again finally.
Year 2 will definitely be highly anticipated and scrutinized by fans and critics alike. The difference is that this staff really operates differently than what I've seen in the past decade plus. Sumlin seems to thrive on the challenge.
With a high enough rank to start the year, this could add up to a 2nd phenom season....

Anything less than 10-2 would be a let down.
True, 8 home games and 2 open dates.
Def agree with the others, largely based on who comes back among the Jrs
alabama game will be very tough, even if at home. Saban's team need's a 4th non-con, right? Already has 2 FCS... i hope they get scheduled the week before us!

Thanks & Gig 'Em

Having a heisman winner should get us a lot of publicity. I say top 8.
“10. One crazy prediction: If DE Damontre Moore (doubtful), OT Luke Joeckel (possible) and OT Jake Matthews (likely) all return to school, Texas A&M will be the preseason No. 1 team in the nation.” - Kirk Bohls
While I got ya, here are nine things and one crazy prediction: 1. Late Sunday afternoon, It.

That Ole Miss team might surprise some people next season. They're not a "gimme" anymore. And yeah, would suck if we can't jump LSU with the kind schedule we have and them having to play UGa and FL, not to mention the two Miss schools on the road.
2. Ohio State
