He looked great on his first drive, then he wasn't very good.

Define "looked great" and "wasn't very good".....if you will.
On he first drive he completed all four passes, looked on target, got the ball out quick. After that he looked like he has a lot of the time, holding he ball too long, missing targets, etc.
Pretty much what Aubrey said. He looked like a capable backup the first drive, but after that not so much. He still looked like a better option than Davis overall, but Davis at least has mobility and athleticism that Joeckel lacks. I wouldn't trust either as our backup QB which is why I'm hoping Kenny Hill can come in and be ready early if neither Joeckel or Davis makes significant strides between now and the fall.
