Just read the latest Ohio State article on TOS and he's definitely playing it up as an A&M v Ohio State battle...and that he's still deciding. Any chance we pull off the surprise? Before you guys start posting, pass...he's blowing up the Army AA practices.
If he's the next Luke Kuelchly, Clay Matthews, Brian Cushing...
Obviously that's a lot to hope for, but he appears to be a lot better than a lot of you reverse racists are willing to admit.

He's an absolute stud. He won the SPARQ for crying out loud. No reason to stop recruiting him.
Folks on here are passing bc of his lack of expressing overwhelming love for A&M. He keeps his thoughts close to his chest, but tOSU has been his leader forever and don't see him choosing against them. Interesting that we're his #2, though (at the very least).
I just...I don't know. He's got so many great stats, but his film is just underwhelming to me. I look at Savage and I see Dat. I look at Mitchell and I see a good athelete, but not a GREAT LB.
I feel like his ceiling is through to roof, but I just didn't fall in love with him.
“Honestly [tu's offer] doesn’t really matter though because I won’t go there. I won’t even visit." “I want to play big time ball in the SEC"
Ohio St commits have been hinting all week he's a buckeye already. What possible reason would be choose A&M right now? When's the last time he's really talked positively enough about us to make us think we're in it? Kid is just waiting for TV to have the spotlight.
"I've been there multiple times," he explained. "They've been in it since the start and I have a great relationship with the coaches there, too. Texas A&M moving to the SEC, that's a big thing, people say that's the best conference and there is definitely a lot of good teams in that conference. The way they competed this year in that conference was a good thing."
As for what will determine his decision, Mitchell will just go with his gut feeling between the Buckeyes and Aggies.
"Both are great schools and both can provide a lot," he said. "It's really just sitting down and thinking about what's that inside feeling that you think that you should go to that school."
A&M would love to have him but would come as a surprise even to the staff if he chose them.

Thanks. I guess there's a chance we can bring him in late for an official visit if he gets cold feet about going away.
He's been enamored with OSU for months now. We would love to have him, but I think he's had his mind made up for a while now. I think we will land Savaiinaea and we should all be ecstatic about it. The Savage is a freaking man and he will be a great MLB here for us.
I completely agree. I feel like in his film Mike just runs around using his athleticism and size to push smaller high school players down. Does not wrap up and drive with his legs. He is definitely a freak of an athlete though.
I don't think he's doing a very good job of trying to create drama/excitement for his televised announcement by telling tOSU sites that he's still deciding and that it's an A&M-OSU battle. It seems obvious after he's postponed and canceled so many visit opportunities to A&M and not really shown much interest in A&M in months.
There is no way he is coming here at Aggieland. You don't ignore the coaching staff for over a month and then all of a sudden commit. This is a non-story for a kid who will wind up at defensive end but will only listen to Ohio State because Urban will tell him he can be a linebacker. Guaranteed by 2014 season, Mitchell will be in the D-Line rotation.
This guy is a stud. Everybody can say, his film is underwhelming, he's flaky, white etc. but even T$ said he was one of the most impressive prospects he's ever seen in person. Wish he was coming here but oh well...
Another down-vote...hmm, someone is out to get me.
For me, I'll say he's a take. I think his production is great...didnt he have something like 150 tackles IIRC last season? Regardless, there are VERY few kids with his measurables that can move like he can and he's a take based on potential alone IMO. What he's doing in the all star stuff against great competition seems to all but rule out the questions about whether or not he can compete against better athletes etc etc...
As for our chances...Still not good IMO but I will say that the kid has been a heavy lean to OSU for a while and had every opportunity to pull the trigger on his visit but didnt. Why not, if it was a done deal? Maybe Meyer wanted the announcement on National T.V but it could be that the kid legitimately has questions as to what's best for his situation. If his parents and family are extremely involved with his football career (as they seem to be) then it's a hell of a lot easier to see games in College Station, Baton Rouge, Ark etc etc etc than it is having to fly to the Midwest every weekend or hoping to catch one of their games on t.v. We'll see but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Jeff Drikel, Garrett Gilbert, etc. were glaring takes.
He scart of SEC and LJ..
