Am new to this board and would like yall's thoughts on job Coach Anderson is doing in his recruiting. There seems to be alot of hand wringing on other boards about BJ. Thoughts?
See top OL recruit Jermaine Eleuemunor's (offers from everywhere) quotes on him...
For some reason A&M has stopped talking with the nation’s top JUCO OL Jermaine Eluemunor. The Scranton (PA) tackle was at Penn State this weekend but texted me last night about his disappointment about the lack of communication with the Aggies. We didn’t engage the communication with Eluemunor so his obvious frustration below is due to the fact that he really liked A&M but doesn’t understand why the interest from them has suddenly fallen off.
“Yeah I try to call Coach Anderson all the time and he never picks up and he hasn't spoke to me on Facebook in 3 weeks. They just completely stopped talking to me. I knew something like this would happen though. I got a bad vibe from Anderson but yeah he just completely stopped taking my calls. He never put in the time to actually talk to me and all he would say is, ‘yeah you can be the next great tackle here, the left tackle spot is yours, we will give it to you right away without even earning it’, and he would only talk to me for like 2 minutes a week. When Urban Meyer and Nick Saban talk to me for half an hour every other day it makes you wonder. All their written mail said the same exact thing each time,’be the next great tackle here your the man.’ I really liked A&M. "
For what it’s worth, the Aggie coaches have been on spring break and focused on spring ball, and assistants are not allowed to call a prospect back if they miss the call. He’s not the only OL that’s had issues getting in touch with A&M recently.
Now that spring break is over, recruiting is going to pick up heavily, and the Aggies are hosting three BIG visitors this week. Get the VERY latest surrounding AM recruiting.

His actions lately do raise questions.
You are either going to be a leader or not. to be a leader, you throw your shoulders back, tits to the sky, head up, cock out.
BJ has a little Randolph Jordan in him.
It's a big jump from UofH to A&M. Some can hang and some can't.
Win we shall, yes we can, yes we will.
I posted this on the biotech thread and I think it kind of got buried b/c I never got a response from anyone. Please Ags, think about it and let's start a good ole fashioned pow-wow on the subject...
"Also, when the zombie apocalypse hits, we won't have far to travel for the miracle cure.
SIDENOTE: How aggressive would zombie BJ Anderson be for human flesh?
You know he's gonna be hungry, but would he have the motivation to get up and search for it?"
Couldn't even get a lifelong aggie fan and legacy to switch from OU even after a buttraping in a bowl game and a #1 draft pick at the position.
Definitely the weakest position coach... by a mile.
Who are you referring too?
I know another outlet said Eluemunor "talked" with A&M last week. True, but they only spoke for two minutes, according to Jermaine. He's also not visiting in August and still doesn't feel A&M is that interested. No official visit date has been discussed.

Someone should have followed Klifford.
So Taylor what do you think about Anderson?
there may be questions about him recruiting but I've yet to see anything that would indicate he's not a good position coach.
Fwiw Koda Martin mentioned Bj as a positive for A&M. It's possible the staff wants to see how they do with high school targets before moving on to JUCO. I get the impression that Sumlin is aware and supportive of the strategy with the Brit. I know most on the board disagree with that opinion.
Damn; I had just read that on the other site and got all excited!
...but this is why Hamm-bam is the best.
this. took our ol some time to adjust to a new system, spread offense, downfield blocks, etc as opposed to pro style, but he definitely got them where they need to be. Dunno how he compares to Jimmy Turner,I know Coach Turner was a meticulous technician and one of our better recruiters (for that staff).

i know the players freaking loved Jim Turner too... if you watched "Hard Knocks" last season, you could see why, too. The dude is hilarious.
This angers me. It's really none of my business and its out if my hands but I don't get blowing off a stud (at a position of need) that actually is very interested. In the end, in the cobra we must trust.
He is. Scared the piss out of me, but he was really cool. Heavy Boston accent, Marine Officer.
All one in the same bro. If you're a good coach and a shitty recruiter, you're still only doing a half-ass job.
I do think there are a lot of assumptions being made way too soon on Bj. Some of you take a small sample size and run with it. Elemoudors comments were a little concerning, but how do you know it isn't sumlins call to intentionally slow play him? For every one recruit you may here bad things about him there are multiple others who you hear good things, like smith and Martin.
In the end, last year we ultimately picked up 2 of the states top 5 OL(3 of 6 if you include jj) and our second highest rated juco T. and this year have 1 of the top 3-4 in state guys already committed with a good chance to land a second in the top 4 soon. That's not elite, but it's certainly not as bad as people make it sound.
We could land any number of in state guys tomorrow if we wanted. It's clear we are slow playin the position. Now I'm not necessarily saying Bj is great. He may very well be a below average recruiter. I'm just sayin that I'm 100% sure some of you are being premature about this.

Actually last year it was 2 of the states top 5, 3 of 6 with Gustafson, and could have been 5 of 9 with porter and benenoch if we wanted them.
These last two years have been down years on the OL in Texas. It's hard to get a true portrayal of BJs recruiting skills up to this point. I just think its premature. Overall, in a couple of down years, we are still doing pretty solid if we get Wilson, Aguilar, Gustafson, stuckey, Davis, Martin, among a couple of others.
And no, I'm not a sunshine pumper. I fully understand our OL recruiting needs to get better.
