Was jones projected top 3-5 pick though? I'm not 100% sure of his size but I don't think it was NFL LT size.
In my opinion Jones is terrible....Spencer Nealy wore his ass out all game. He got 1st team AA by default. And he wasnt projected to be the 1st offensive lineman taken and still isnt. Talk about an over rated player and you got jones, but i do see what your saying as far as Luke coming back but there is no way i take that risk. Luke has given enough to A&M and shouldnt feel like he owes us anything. but again this is just my opinion
Not sure if this was already mentioned, but I have heard Damontre is very close to Von Miller's family and they are strongly encouraging him to return to college and finish his degree. Seems like some influential sources right there.
Also, I think a big factor in Matthews decision will be the opportunity to play a year with his brother.
Huge win if 2 out of the 3 come back.
this is way different then when you where playing. I dont know what it was like under Sherm but it was freaking terrible under Fran which you know. These guys are having the time of their life playin and i think really believe they can win a NC next year which would make them ATM LEGENDS!!!!!!! .I think alot of it has to do with what kind of family these guys come from(do they have money do they not). They really have alot to think about and the more i think about it i can see them coming back. Especially with Bruce Mathews and Von Miller pushing them to do so
i agree. and none of them are struggling for money like most players do. it will be interesting. but my broke ass wouldnt be coming back haha.
Is this the lee grimes from texas a&m that was on the football team? I loved that guy. One of the nicest guys on campus. I always felt bad for him having to endure the fran years, especially since i was also in school the same time he was
yes this is Lee Grimes
Completely agree with Lee on this one.
And let's not under estimate the impact that having
players consistently going 1st round year after year
has on a program. A silver lining to losing quality
Thankyou Lee for your insight.
Great addition to the site.
You're correct. makes you wonder how many awards B.Jones wins playing at say A&M or would he have even started?
Jones would have been one hell of a backup here at A&M haha
