“Honestly [tu's offer] doesn’t really matter though because I won’t go there. I won’t even visit." “I want to play big time ball in the SEC"
And Snyder to kent state rumors are surfacing
The one thing that puts me at ease about Snyder is that he's about to get PAID, and his lack-luster headcoaching past means he'll likely only be low-balled by lower programs.
I would be a little surprised if Kent State drops the coin it would take to get Snyder. One, because I'm not sure they have it, and two because if you're dropping serious money you think you'd want a coach that didn't get fired from their ownly head coaching experience. Not bashing Snyder, but it is what it is.
Polian would be an interesting hire for La. Tech, and the move from Special Teams coordinator to Head Coach would be a bold play for Tech I'd think. Of course I also thought hiring Kingsbury was a crazy move for Texas Tech so what do I know, I don't know the inner workings of Louisiana Tech.

Must have been impressed with Polian's coaching of the on-side kicks in that game in Shreveport.
Aubrey - what does Snyder make now, and how much did the old Kent State coach make?
"Failure is my greatest fear. Yours is probably heights or spiders or some silly shit."
I'm not sure on Snyder, but my guess is around 500K. Could be a little higher than that possibly. I think I saw where Kent State's coach made slightly over 300 last year.
I think KK to made sense for Tech. It was an exciting, bold move for them, bringing back a highly successful QB and an OC that knows Tech. More than anyone else they could have hired, KK will bring excitement to the program. He has the best opportunity to keep the recruits Tech has now and can immediately focus Car Care Bowl.
Car Care Bowl?! the Car Care Bowl!??!
I might be too optimistic. But I'd rather lose a Polian, Beatty, or a Yates than Snyder. I know these are some star recruiters, but I think our recruiting is now gonna be more on automatic. You always gotta have these foot soldiers, but with Sumlin, the winning, SEC, Heisman, our TV exposure is gonna make this part of the job that much easier. Snyder is a must keep so that our Defense's transition keeps moving forward. I am in awe of what Sumlin has done here. I think it keeps rollin' with him.
Wish we would just announce the raises already so this scrubs bounce off and leave our fn staff alone
Let us lock down 2014 then well have enough in the pipeline that a hiccup or two is manageable
Your logic is boggling my mind
