Mine started out as a joke.
I had some friends who were joking around and thinking of nicknames for their private parts. They were often musical in name (simon & garfunkel, Pancho and Lefty, etc). A few days later, I was sitting around drinking beer, not consciously thinking about genitalia nicknames, and the name "Girth Brooks" came to me. My immediate next thought was "cuz it ain't goin' down til the sun comes up." Thought it made for a clever joke. Started telling people the joke saying my girlfriend called it that (because it caught people off guard and was therefore funnier to them). Grad school buddies started calling me Girth or Girthy, so it became my handle.
In hindsight it was probably a poor choice of handle because I'm hesitant to tell anybody I know professionally what my handle is.

Maybe posting's just not your game. I know, let's have a spelling contest.
My name is Matt. I am an Aggie.
This has been my screen name (AIM and what have you) since I was in like 5th grade, though.
My dad was an Ag (class of 80) so I knew where I wanted to go to school when I was born.
The 235 is for my sports numbers growing up. 23 and 5.
You are either going to be a leader or not. to be a leader, you throw your shoulders back, tits to the sky, head up, cock out.
Kilrain is a character in the book "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shara. It's a pretty good account of the battle of Gettysburg if any of you are Civil War buffs
SEC SEC SEC!!!
Teammates nicknamed me "the mule" in college. I grew up in a largely Hispanic region, so I like the spanish flair. So "the mule" became "el burro." Plus, it's funny when I meet someone from AY or 247 and they're surprised I'm not Mexican.
My dad was a duck
Aubrey Bloom was already taken, so I got stuck with this one.

Yes I'm named after him hence the 2nd. Don't know why they chose the 2nd route over Jr but I'm glad they did.
Nickname from Dental School..... from the Oscar Award winning flick Dumb and Dumber. Kick his ass, Seabass!
4 was my sports number along time ago, thought I'd give it a "007" effect.

This was a Great Idea - it is cool to learn a little bit of the history of the fellow posters on the message boards.
Vincent is way too formal. I have been called V-Dogg, vicente (anyone from Hereford, TX?), vincenzo, and now vinny. Was pumpin some serious iron in Taji, Iraq in 2010. Brigade Commander came up and told me "vincent is too formal, for now on you are vinny". Maybe it is because he caught me doing a peck pump in the mirror or maybe because of my rightoues tan from spending all day on chemical ali's old place. All I know is it works and I am sticking with it.
