I've heard rumors that Addison has reached out to some people at A&M about potentially transferring given concerns about the future sanctions that Oregon will likely be facing. Firstly, do you know if that is actually the case that he has reached out to A&M or is their no truth to that rumor.
Second, if it is true, if he or any other people wanted to transfer to A&M for the 2013 season, how would that affect our scholarship numbers? I'm sure it would count against the 85 even during the 2013 season that they would have to sit out, but would it count against the 25 yearly enrollees, and if so, for the 2013 season or the 2014 season that he would be able to participate in. I've never really understood how transfers affect those recruiting scholarship numbers.
Update: Ok geniuses, since you all know the answer, care to pass it along or link to where on the Board Taylor has answered it rather than just calling out my question? I actually did look on the Board before I asked this, and the only thread on Addison I could find was the old one on him transferring to Oregon in the first place.

Third, I absolutely refuse to actually skim the board before I post so keep any applicable, snarky comments to yourself.

"I'VE ALREADY COVERED THIS, DICKWAD"- Taylor Hamm
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST! DON'T YOU FORGET IT! GAYLORD!
I didn't know people still used Gaylord as an insult.
IT'S MAKING A COME BACK DICKWAD!
Hearing from my sources that Addison has put some feelers out to Ags. Hamm, what say you?
I already posted it. Look in this thread.
The power of observation is only surpassed by the ability to state the blatantly obvious.
Was at a cocktail hour with a few BMAs and Addison came up. BMAs are hearing that Bralon may have reached out to Sumlin. Hamm, are you hearing this?
Thanks for the memo. I am re-inserting into my vocab.
Ok moving past the fact his first question was already answered by Hamm, the second part I am curious about as well.
Since Oregon is coming under sanctions, I think it has already been covered that no transfers would have to sit out a season. Therefore, he would play in 2013 and definitely not count against the 25 limit in 2014. However, would he count against only the 85 limit or the 25 in 2013 as well? With our 2013 scholly numbers tight, THAT is what I wanna know.
If the sanctions are severe enough, they generally don't require transfers to sit out one season, but it really depends on the transfers. I don't think we know for sure that he wouldn't have to sit out a year. I remember when USC was hit with all the Reggie Bush sanctions, juniors and seniors to be were allowed to transfer without sitting out a year because of the 2 year bowl ban but freshman were NOT allowed to transfer without sitting out a year (http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/ncf/news/story?id=5275644). That's why I think there is still a chance he would have to sit out for a year but would still potentially be able to compete for a National Title in 2014 and 2015 with A&M (when he likely couldn't at Oregon).
Taylor covered this in last September's Pulse.. Didn't you read it?
You forgot to call him a name. Come on tcmay, we have standards around here.
Is Oregon really getting sanctions? Seems like I've been hearing this for years.
Since you clearly know everything and love posting on this thread, how about you actually post the answer to my question.
It's pretty clear they will - I think the only question is how severe they will be. There are a lot of similarities to the Oregon scandal now and the USC scandal back in the day, so there is potential for them to be pretty severe. I think that may be yet another reason why Chip Kelly is interviewing with 3 NFL teams the day after the Fiesta Bowl after turning down Tampa Bay last year - seems like he wants out of Oregon now.
with a manziel family friend who houses fighting roosters for the family. he says johnny is getting mid-game private tweets from addison wanting to come to aggieland. silence of the hamm, confirmation?
Wow... that has to be one of the most unusual sentences to start a post I have ever seen here.
Hugh know it...all.
Sometimes you guys are such FARTKNOCKERS.
