What was he talking about, Hamm? Why does he love a&m fans?
Pretty sure it's because we didn't give CEL hell for decommiting
A bunch of Ags replied to his tweet about CEL being brave for not worrying about the coming criticism. All of them saying they understand and wish CEL the best of luck in the future.
this. Other players decommitting have been ripped to shreads by ignorant fans. I wish CEL luck and will miss him. And showing that the 12th man can be both classy and passionate only helps us with future recruits.
We're being classy right now b/c this staff is in a position where they can afford to lose these kids.
Plus QA and CEL have done it in a classy manner.
Both key points.if these guys were the bell-cows of a small class, we'd have our share of knuckleheads calling out 18-year olds on the biggest decision they've probably made up to that point.
Yeah, I can't imagine what it must be like to have a bunch of coaches in your earhole saying come to Brand X Big 12 University you can start and you won't have to compete, you'll never see the field at A&M.
Its almost funny at this point that Summy is embracing the Natural Selection process as a recruiting technique. Interesting to watch this play out from afar.
I've been thinking the same thing. Interesting strategy, indeed. Just keep taking guys and let them weed one another out. Seems like a good way to avoid burning any bridges. I'm sure CEL's dad has explained the recruiting process to him more than a few times and helped him to this decision. And we have already heard that Quincy's coach was in our corner the whole time. Sumlin is a genius.
